Borderlands.

So, at the prodding of Gun Chimp, I finally went out and got the GOTY version, mainly to play it in co-op. Low and behold, Last sunday, GC and Soul Motor join me in a game. Dean came on with a levell 26 soldier and Soul came on with a level 69 soldier that was immortal, invincable and tricked out to the teeth, actually to the point that you didn't have to worry about health or ammo due to all the mods he carried that boosted his team mates. Man it was like Gears on steroids and I ate it up like whip cream on pumpkin pie.

I had a blast and advance from level 14 to level 23 in about four hours. Got through portions of the game that would have taken me days to fight my way through on my own. Sad thing was that after they went back to their REAL lives, I found myself in territory that I was not ready for, it took me two hours just to fight my way back to a level that I wasn't majorly outclass in. But there are no regrets and MUCH thanks to my friends who helped immensely, but made me WANT to get to those levels and be the ULTIMATE Borderlands Hunter.

And just thnk, BL 2 in planned and I think out in 2012. WHOOO HOOO< I just hope they wait long enough after the release of Mass Effect 3 to allow me to play through it a few times. and soon enough before Halo 4 and God of War 4 that I have time to play it through. Hope there are some more BL fans out there that wanna jump into this oldie...but GREATY...

Thanks Gun Chimp & Soul Motor, it was a KILLER of game...

Me, I finally plugged in Borderlands and it has taken a bit of control over me. I keep planning on getting back to Rage in the near future, but have so many new (to me) games that I have to play a bit of this and a bit of that.

I do want to make a big SHOUT OUT to Soul Motor for the big help up gaining about 5 levels last Sunday. It is awesome playing with a maxed out BL character, no worries in the world, BUT when you once again tackle it on your own, reality hits like a ton of bricks and you ar fighting for you life. Just seeing the character that you can advance too with time and patience made it all the more enticing to keep with it. So, when will I get back to Rage, AC Revelations, The Run, BF3, etc, etc.... Who knows....

ME2, I have explored every possible planet I can find and land on, and have mined almost all of them. Even fell asleep once during the mining operations. That is what happens when you get hooked on a game and play till the wee hours of the morning.

As to rage, "What Gun Chimp" said.

That seems to be the norm anymore, there are SO MANY games, and one MUST jump into every one of them to get a taste of it.

Luckily, I am not eaten up with the obsession for completing games, there are a few that I would love to get 100% acheivement on, ME2 being the primary one, Red Dead also, but I find that my interest wanes if I have finished the main storyline and am just wondering around to find an acehievement. I have many games that I have finished the campaigns on, but I don't have one single game that I have hit 100% on as to the acheivements.

I don't know if that is good or bad to tell the truth...

Like Gun Chimp, I am finding that it is hard to jump into the FPS games right now. I thought that the release of BF3, (which I think is an excellent FPS) my desire to shoot people would get back into high gear, but it hasn't for some reason.

I have always prefessed that Action RPGs are my favorite genre' of games, with Mass Effect 2 being my all time fav, and I think I too am gonna be spending more time in the RPG worlds. I am looking very forward to ME3, as it will have a Co-Op facet that will take it over the top to be able to share it with my buds.

I have recently been spending quite a bit of time with a lady friend, so I haven't been gaming as much, but I look forward to signing on to XBL and jumping into a shared game of Fable or the like. What is so cool about that one, is that both share any acheivements that the host pickes up, and there are Acheivements that can only be gotten in co-op mode.

Don't forget Red Dead, there is an acheivement on there for creating a full posse of 8 that I need to pick up....

And Dean, DON'T start Red Dead till you are done with ME, as you will then be conflicted as to what to play, ha ha ha .

I'll probably play the single player one day... I'll borrow it from my brother-in-law when he's done with it. Though right now I have Dead Island to finish and Skyrim and Rage are coming in a couple of days... :)soul_motor

Dead Island is dropping in price for the holidays. I think Rage & Skyrim are worth the price for new issue, and alot of my friends from CAG have been playing Dead Island, so I think it will be a holiday purchase.

I picked up AC Revelations today at Walmart for $36.99 because it was mismarked, played a bit of the MP, and it was really cool, gonna have to get into it a bit more....

As for MW3, I will eventually grab it, but not until the price drops at LEAST 20 bucks, I lost all faith in the MW versions of CoD with Black Ops, lost some with MW2, but Black Ops put it to bed for me, I thought is was a sad release for a franchise that in the beginning was tops.

Soul, that is just too COOL. Dean is gonna Love IT. I know now that every time we talk or MP together, I will see him driving an old car with his long barreled 38 sticking out the window shooting at me. Thanks for sharing, MOST EXCELLENT!

Yes I have a bit of DLC then will die with Xbox 360 so I wish people would release more DLC discs.tonyhawksP8

AS long as you don't change your account, there shouldn't be an issue. Both XBL and PSN keep track in their system of your paid for DL content. My PS3 ran out of storage space, so I have had to delete ARCADE style games and then have downloaded them again later. But I agree, I would prefer that DLC in GOTY releases should come on a disc. BUT, it is easy to share those DLC with others, which makes the company miss on revenues, Sooooo, pretty sure that DLC will inherently be supplied via DLC codes from now on. ( I am assuming much here and may be full of tuna fish)

Not rushing out to pick it up, that's for sure! Special Ops in MW2 was fun split screen, so maybe it´ll make it into my collection one day when the price drops A LOT. In the meantime, I have too much to occupy me with BF3, Rage to finish off, Borderlands with the missus, and Fabe 2 & 3, Mass Effect, Crysis 2 and Red Dead Redemption all screaming out "play me". Time is becoming a rare commodity these days!

Gun_Chimp

My friend, you have some serious games screaming at you. Some of my favorites of all time, the Fable games are great, when you get into them, we can do some MP, on that one, what one gets the other also gets. I warn you NOW, it is an addictive game. ME1 is a good game, but ME2 is a GREAT game. Too bad it has no MP or Co-Op. ME3 is gonna have co-op, but beyond that I don't know the details, I can only hope that it will be like Borderlands, Cod WaW or Gears where you can co-op the campaign and not like the limited co-op missions of Rage and BF3. And Red Dead, another addiction release. As we have played many games together, make sure you SHORT TERM wants are out of the way, cause I would be willing to bet that when you start either of the Fable games, or Red Dead, you will stay with them until you complete the main storyline of the game. Knowing you, you will pursue EVERY acheivement too....

Make sure you warn me when you get into the ones that you need MP acheivements on, I'll be glad to garner the MP chevos with you.... Whoo Hooo, it'll be great fun, IF, you ever get around to them....

Now, it is time to go plug in Skyrim....for the first time and see if it is just as addictive.?
