Kind of a slap to the face of the PC crowd not even mentioning the demise of the private server with MW2, which was where COD lost me forever. Oh, and charging for things (map packs) they once gave away for free.

@KUNG-LO Wrong. Ubisoft picked up the publishing rights to the game after THQ went under.

I knew it was just a matter of time before Dubstep revealed its true nature and started the killing.

@RikkiTTavi I think you mean crappy and I agree totally. GS's "HD" has always been anything but.

@Mr_BillGates Check out his game ratings and look at 4 of the games he gave a 10 rating. Notice anything? As in, those games are ones in which you give an order then sit back and watch the exact same 20 second animation over and over again.

@Vertigem WoW was both a blessing and a curse to the MMO genre. Since it exploded so hugely, every other developer for years thought they had to make a near carbon copy to be successful. There have been exceptions like Eve, but that has never been exactly popular, even if it is pretty cool.

It's only been in the last couple of years that developers have been willing to step out of the box somewhat with big name MMO's, what with The Secret World, Tera, Guild Wars 2, etc. Unfortunately, though those games have quite a bit going for them, they didn't exactly set the world on fire or have the staying power that WoW did.

@sciren You need either the original or a fresh copy of A Realm Reborn (once it's released) to play. You don't need both, original owners get ARR for free.

@oflow I would imagine KVO will draw the assignment for this seeing as it's a AAA PC exclusive, which he usually seems to do.

At least I hope he does...
