I've recently unlocked all of the achievments out of Halo 3, yet it still feels like something ismissing though I earned all of them fair and square I don't really have any feeling of acomplishment or pride. I'm not enjoying Halo as much as I had without anything to aim for or any goals left to do and I just wish they had made the achievments harder.
In reference to Gears (Yes I am a fanboy oh noes) I liked the fact that you had to put time into it to get the achievments rather than being lucky though it does help alot ;). Maybe ifBungie had put an achievment like "Seriously..." (GOW)or "General"(COD3) it may have made each match you play as if you were working toward something rather than a waste of time. Games like Dead Rising demontrate stuff like this well as me and Tom were discussing earlier today, in which achievments like "7 day survivor" and "Zombie Genocider"make you put time into the game and are fun to do although I'm not speaking from Dead Rising experience. Its probably just me but I like the thought of getting a really hard achievment and everyone knowing what time and effort you had to put in to get it.
Ok I know I'm going on a bit now so let me just tell you about why I havn't been very active on Gamespot or on XBL for a while now. Basically I was moving house and had to stay at my grandmas for a month as I mentioned in an earlier blog of mine. She lives in the stone age so it was pretty dull for a nerd like me. So back t Gears until Mass Effect comes out and hats about it for this blog , I'll leave you with a picture of my Spartan.
