Yesterday the U.S army finaly awarded me ny purple heart back when When I was shot in korea 3 times while I was in the service I have it on vide tape alsoit was awarded to me by the mayor of fresno alan autry (the actor from in the heat of the night). it was probably one of the best moments this year.
it was korea march 18 1953 andwe were in a forest just gaurding and screwing around next thing you know 15 soldiers came around and killed 6 men in about 2 minutes the 5 of us who were living had to get inI didint want to get because my best friend billy martin was shot in his legs and was 316 pounds so I got out my gun and told malcom to drive the jeep over to medical base and let one guy out jeep they let sammy out to help me kill them 3 of them came out for me one of shot me in the two I was just about dead until with his last ounce ofof strenght billy shot 2 of point blank 10 minutes later nearly all of them were dead or severly injured except for one little guy who was about 5'2 came charging at me and sammyand shot billy in the eye and me in shoulder just as he was about to kill sammy I stab him 3 times in the head and he collapsed on the floor dead as doorknob me and sammy sat down and waited 20 minutes for malcom and the otherguy to come they rushed me and billy to hospital I was fine but billy died about 2 minutes after he was shot in the eye.billy was an orphan so we went back to the forest and buried him right there right where he died hes still today
