You need to learn that comparing to AC was just a writing technique he used to explore the unique things that this game has brought, which was a question many asked and still ask when they see the gameplay and animation...or maybe just an honest opinion :p

And if I spent it and it was as Kevin said, then it would've been bad for me :P...look the point here is that I've been following GS for enough time, that I know what the staff likes or does not...in all these years I found Kevin to be the closest to me in what amounts to gaming taste, and his reviews were never wrong for me...never...and that means that I've tried games that he didn't like, and I ended up not liking them either...

Therefore I completely trust the guy...if he says the game is soulless and doesn't have enough variety when it comes to bosses, then I will believe him, especially if that was my conclusion too after all the footage that has been shown...and I especially believe him when he criticizes the lack of story...that's one of the main things I look for in games...a good story in a rich world, and seems like Destiny lacks in that regard...that's why I will wait for more content

To the record...I don't need Kevin to hold my hand, he is just reinforcing an opinion that I initially form, and they are always on the same page

He reviewed the game as it was released...that's professional and fair I think, and it saved me from shelling out 60 bucks...now I know that I should buy destiny only after a year when it's on sale...

He reviewed the game as he sees it...yes and that's deliberate...my tastes are very similar to Kevin's so his personal opinion of the game helps :p

I disagree with some of the things here...my expectations are formed by my personality as a whole and they are the same throughout all art forms or entertainment...so my expectations for games can't really be pinned down on my gaming past...

As to how can a mediocre game like Destiny be enjoyed by so many people? Well, it's because people like mediocrity that's why :p ...and that's not really a negative, so people should just accept it...
