The news here for me isn't the HDD one, but the one where they say that the game will be delivered in chunks...I'm curious to see if that will have an effect on how games will be designed...
Really? That's interesting...but also speaks in favour of why companies would want to implement such a business model.
Any form of transaction has 2 sides...if the buyer can be "pressured", then I think it's amazing, and I just can't believe it, or more like it's difficult to believe.
That's why I asked if there's a title in particular...
I understand that the industry is relying on day 1 sales, and that transforms the dynamic of it. However on a personal level, I just can't imagine why would someone feel "pressured" to preorder.
We don't have Gamestop here in this country, so I don't know if there are problems in regard of a favourite title missing from the shelves, so one cannot play it for some time.
So apart from this hypothetical situation, I can't see where the pressure comes in...well, unless we are blind I think.
There are many people here who are right, when they say that this "shit" model is popular with the crowd, that's why they strive to implement it.
Yeah I guess you're right, if put into that perspective, meaning the possible quality of the future of the franchise. And what they've done with the latest book shows some signs just trying to rush things out.
But the thing is that they didn't screw up for many people. So then this would transform into a debate about whether Bioware is capable of releasing a quality product. But I'd rather have more info about the future game first, then extrapolating from how I felt with the trilogy.
Look, I know the situation, I was within the storm of that debacle...I think I've commented on GS the most during that period:p...and I get the feeling of being wronged, especially since the hype that Casey built in his interviews. So compared to the expectation, the game was a letdown. But I've rarely read people comment on just what the game accomplishes, or doesn't accomplish, and not be compared to the hype.
But I'm just calling out on the spam and how very off topic and trollish the behaviour is.
