What do you mean when you say a decent wage? Calculating a "decent" wage, that would actually attract people into developing games is not that easy.

I know that, and believe me I'm very selective in what I play. I dislike most gaming genres and I'm a PC gamer too, which means that my options are that much limited.

And I know that AAA games are very expensive to produce, but what I was trying to say is that despite the high cost, there should be some flexibility involved in here. Like how the budget is calculated for example and how those resources are allocated. Believe me when I say it(I don't know why you would, but still:P) that they could be a lot more efficient.

But there is another facet of this problem. And that is the retailers. Perhaps devs/publishers should be more efficient in their deals with the retailers, so that it wouldn't be the consumer market that is "punished".

Well I don't know anything about that. I live in a backwater country, so there's no such occasion for me. But the point of this issue is that the demographic you are speaking of is not the majority. At least the people who go to those event actually get out of their homes. XDD

But look...your point of getting a job to be able to pay full prices is a bit troublesome. Why would I throw away 60 dollars for a product, if I decide that it's not worth that much. As somebody else pointed out earlier, prices should be more flexible and available budgets should be calculated with such flexibility in mind. That's my opinion anyway, because there are games out there that are clearly not worth 60 dollars.

The point of his post is that Bethesda should be grateful for the success they have, because despite the problems they are still huge.

That's nice...I'm confident now that I can get into the auto industry quite easily and get profit for my first sale. SWEET! :D

Now I just have to find someone who will build me a factory for no cost =_=....anyone?

Well I think during this current gen - next gen transition is when they have to be loudest. Otherwise after next gen comes out, things are pretty much established.

I think they know the sales figures, but they just don't count them...I feel this is more of an accountant problem, rather than the games actually failing. I think it's also important to note that their fiscal year ended in March this year, which means that the games had little time to generate profit in that fiscal year.
