Let me explain:

Companies like Sony have manufacturing plants over seas.

Every time they ship out product, it goes to distribution facilities for many different retailers.

The stores buy product in bulk from companies like Sony, so they can put it in their retail stores and turn around and sell it to make a product.

Its a fairly simple system.

Always bear in mind that when stores receive product in on their trucks. They're not receiving it directly through the manufacturer, but through their own distribution facilities.

That's why when you go into a Best Buy and look at the Manufacture Date for a 360 it's always about 5-6 months behind.

Sony screwed up. Their only defense was Metal Gear Solid: 4

Now that Microsoft's only competition has no defense, Microsoft can simply sell another 10 Million consoles with the launch of Halo 3.

Halo 3 is the most anticipated game of the year. There's no competition whatsoever with this game.

Nintendo never stood a chance anyways. As for PS3, until MGS4 comes out...they have nothing special..
