Im leaning more and more towards PS4 every day. The main Gears of War series is over, so Im not worried about that. Spin offs are never that good IMO. Haven't played judgement yet, don't even know if i want to. 343 done a good job on Halo 4, but it was indeed something that I could live without. I prefer Battlefield over Call of Duty, so ps4 will have the exclusive content there. Left 4 Dead I enjoyed, but valve cant count to 3 so I believe Im safe here. Seems like the only thing that could possibly make me want the 720 is Alan Wake 2. Alan Wake was possibly the best exclusive the xbox 360 had. But I know I would regret buying a console for one game. I originally purchased a ps3 for God of War 3, and MGS4, but I slowly found out Sony exclusives are much better than Microsofts.
From my understanding, xbox 720 must be connected to the internet to function, but DRM is left up to the developers. What does this mean? DRM for all EA games, and Call of Dutys lol. Either way it all sucks if its true. Imagine gamestop having an announcement saying they no longer accept games made by EA because their all DRM, but you can trade them in on ps4. Im saying EA because lets face it, EA is getting to be just as greedy as Micro$oft. Microsoft no longer cares about games, all they care about is money, and pointless apps. Im just waiting for EA to announce that you have to have a $20 season pass to even load their games. Real core gamers know the ps4 is the way to go next gen.
@iempire68 @DoublesWorld Your right. It does. but if you look again, its basically saying, it has to be connected to use the online service, like LIVE, tv, digital content etc, but it says right after that but it will not be a requirement to play local content and it will not prevent playing used games.
What does this mean? It means that yes you have to be online to play games you bought digitally/arcade (which does suck to an extent), but your disk based games CAN BE PLAYED OFFLINE, and the console WILL NOT BLOCK USED GAMES. Basically, if this is all true, it would be like the 360 is now, except you have to be online to play digital games (do you have to be online to play digital games on the 360?) I would thing vgleaks would be right. They were spot on when it came to the Battlefield 4 announcement. Hopefully we will know for sure by next month.
@DoublesWorld If vgleaks is correct, then once again, ill have to choose between Durango and PS4. Ever since the always online thing has been like 99% confirmed, ive been all PS4 and no chance at all for Durango. But if its just the optional mini xbox 360 requiring online only and not Durango, then Im happy with that, because I would just keep my 360 and save $150. Point being, always online, and blocking used games is the deciding factor for me.
@DoublesWorld I buy a console for games. If I want to stream music Ill go to youtube, or just buy my music. If I want to watch tv and movies, ill turn on my tv. I have never used my 360 for anything other than games.
