Liberals are sore losers that can't handle defeat. @GreySeal9 still hasn't been seen since Trump won.

I'm probably right behind GreySeal9...OT has become like another system wars over the last 6 months, and I hate that board. I've really grown tired of the politics "trolls" on OT. My days here are numbered.

I don't remember you being as aggressive as that guy was though. There is nothing wrong with being a liberal but that guy was just an ass. He talked down to everyone, told anyone that thought Trump could win that they were an idiot, and then vanished when he ended up being wrong.

I'm not, nor was I ever, as aggressive as GreySeal9. I'm just getting very bored, and frustrated, with the lack of conversational diversity on here. It's become very factionally divided, much like System Wars.

Gaming (creators and consumers) has a good chunk of liberals in there.

Liberals as you know have sent America down some poor paths and they have a lot of policies that really aren't that American.

So when someone like Trump comes in and says "I will work for America and real Americans and make them all stronger" it upsets quite a few.

LOL, and conservatives haven't?

The vast majority of the U.S. troubles in the world spring from the Cold War activities undertaken by conservatives. Oh...just off the top of my mind:

  • Iran: 1953 Coup, support of the Shah which lead to the rise of the ayetollas resuming power
  • Iraq: support of Hussein, intelligence aid in the 10 year war with Iran...while we were selling weapons to Iran!, overthrow of Hussein leading to the rise in Daesh
  • Afghanistan: arming and training the Mujahadeen, then leaving a power vaccuum for the Taliban to assume power
  • Panama: support of Noriega
  • Chile: overthrow of Allende and support of Pinochet
  • CIA/Cocaine connection in the 80s (Contras, etc)
  • S&L crisis
  • Trickle-down econommics

And I haven't even touched the Nixon, Bush I, or Bush II administrations! All of those examples taking place under Repblicans and all examples of why Americans are hated abroad.

What are these "aren't really that American" policies to which you refer? And what does "really aren't that American" even mean? Do you just say shit without any thought behind what your words actually mean?

I'd temper your optimism until Trump actually advances some form of policy. Anyone claiming that he'll make America great (when did it stop being great?) or will ruin America are fools: nobody knows what policy this guy will enact.

I work in a professional atmosphere where we have little time or inclination to discuss religion, politics, or social topics.

1. What does it matter as long as it's not your country?

2. Why do people who live in huts deserve as much as everyone else?

Because some people actually give a shit about other human beings regardless of their geographic locale. Why am I not surprised that a Republican would hold such myopic views?

I have cable because my apartment complex requires it, and with Plex, Netflix, and dvds I basically get no use out of it. Every once in a while my girlfriend will turn it on for comedy central, but that's about it.

That's one of the few channels I actually miss from cable. Without Comedy Central, I never would have caught gems like The Chappelle Show or one of my favorite cult movies, Wet Hot American Summer. Actually, I probably would have eventually watched the latter when Netflix rolled out its prequel, but I don't know that it would have been the same.

I cut the cord, oh, 4 or 5 years ago. I honestly haven't missed it.

Many channels I used to love turned to shit before I cut the cord. History Channel and Discovery turned into crap Reality TV channels...gone were Modern Marvels, The Universe, Storm Chasers, Engineering programs like Build it Bigger, etc. Espn has absolutely been ruined by Disney; I almost never watched before I finally rid myself of cable.

I get by on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and over-the-air digital broadcasts. I'm thinking about building a RetroPie, which I believe comes with Kodi. My understanding is that, with Kodi, you can find just about anything you can imagine available to stream.

If they keep pushing him, he'll just have to sink the boat with Hillary by exposing her closet of skeletons.

lol who cares!? You think this is about her now?

My only concern at this point is Pence, I mean if Trump is out does that mean his whole cabinet is gone? Or does the Vice-President elect take over? Pence might do more damage than Trump simply due to the fact he is actually capable.

*Do the legit neocons like McCain, the old warhawks, actually hate Trump more than they hate democrats?

Pence scares me more than Trump. Pence wants to repeal ACA without a plan in place, Pence is an extreme social conservative, and frankly I don't think Pence is as smart as Trump. Pence is a more capable and polished politician than Trump, but I don't think he's as capable an administrator...and this is coming from someone from Pence's home state.
