Comparing halo 3 sales to killzone2 is kinda stupid because you expect there to be more fans of a third generation game. comparing halo 2, though halo 2 still outsold killzone2 lol. mainly though probley because of it scoring higher in reviews.
cryengine 3 supports directx9c or direct x 10 or open gl. it's not coded with xbox360's direct9 in mind, xbox360 doesnt use straight up direct x 9 c it's like dx9.5 has some features exclusive to 360 in gpu and some dx10 features though. but it's not taking advantage of xbox360's special api.
Microsoft need's to understand this . it's one of the pros with knowing your game is exclusive to a specific system - you can really design everything towards that one platform." ps3 dev said that they need to code some engines only for 360 they could get more impressive results than using ue3.0 or cryengine 3.
gears of war 2 is overall graphics king. the cgi artist said exact samething i said about killzone2 months ago. All of the environments in KillZone 2 feature textures that are flat. It's really sad. ^^^ what he said he also said killzone2 does have some good textures in his review , like i said months ago but most are flat^ closer inspection shows gears uses way more normal mapping, in other words killzone2 textures overall last gen.
