I'm not sure whether 'she's into it', but I remember as a child she use to window shop for them, and I think she had a lame imitation one back in the 90s. So, now that I have some excess money, and I share a 'different' relationship to my mother then most people, she's pretty much the most influential person in my life and my only true family member, I'd like to show her I care.

Also, in regards to price, yup they're not cheap, lets just say I could pay two months rent with the price of the purse.

You should look into Gamestop/EB Games. They might have it.

On Amazon I can't find any new guitars for under $100 and no new drums for less than $200. Unless I'm missing them somehow. If not though, they can kiss my butt.

I'll sell you an actual electronic drum kit that you can (probably) use with rockband for less than that. thriteenthmonke
