Lol. Good afternon, ma'am. *tips hat* How's stuff?

DigitalExile

My stuff is sleepy. Got a hair cut. Made gross tomato sauce. Swept the kitche and the cat laid directly on top of the pile of dirt I made.

Your turn to share, what's up?

Of the person I know well who participated in that stuff, I got the impression it was all a bunch of drinking and events they created for themselves to look busy. When they graduated college they wanted to show off some of their frat/sorority stuff (I don't want to get too specific in case they ever see this) at their graduation praty. All they had to show for it was a paddle(?) and a collection of tshirts from their different events, every single one of which had a not so cleverly named theme revolving around drinking on it. "Such and such Bar Crawl 2009" or "Parents Weekend Party 2010" kinda thing. Every single one- alcohol related. What they actually did besides drink I have no clue. So I don't see the point in such organizations if this is all they do. But I'm hoping there are some that do actual service or other kinds of events.

You do have a point but I was thinking of increasing the amount until I am swimming for a complete hour without breaks. :P Ours is 50x25 meters but they have it set up for the short course which is 25 meters. ExoticAnimal

An hour nonstop is a LOT of laps! I can't guess how many. And I think you're right with the meters, not yards like I said. Derp again. Most pools are set up for 25m I think. Ours is 25 by... 4 lanes wide, so there's only one way to set it up.

Never got the appeal of doing laps to be honest.KrunkMastaX

It's a terrific opportunity to scope out older men who like to swim really slowly and walk around with their little pot bellies out for the world to see. That's why I go. I just swim to look busy.

You're beating me. :( How large did you say the pool was for you? That's good about the goggles. You should keep increasing your number by 5 laps each time. ExoticAnimal

Okay you keep increasing til... when?! You just go on forever and ever until you're doing 100+ laps and beyond? That can't be normal. You'll spend your whole life swimming.
I don't know about the size exactly- 1 lap is 25 yards. It's very 'normal' sized, nothing fancy.
I'm only going to swim maybe 3x per week, can't handle the goggles more than that and I want to mix it up.

Well I think everyone knows what I'm doing tomorrow. :P It's my typical day at the gym and going to the pool to do laps.ExoticAnimal

How's it going?? I did 40 laps today and think I'm going to stay at that number for a while, it seems reasonable. And I loosened my goggles and feel so much better. :P Derp.

Russian mail order brides will just steal all your money. =O

Actually I watched a doco on it once, and when the men go to all meet them the women just go to get a free lunch and stuff. D:

DigitalExile

Not surprised. I don't think that would be exclusive behavior to Russian women but I don't know. Don't want to comment on Russia folks right now because my family has a Russian house guest for a few more weeks.

A mail order bride from Russia? :o Actually there is this Russian girl in my organic chem lab and I've talked to her like two times shortly but working on the courage to ask her out. Need to do it soon as this is the last week for class. ExoticAnimal

Ooo does she have an accent? Has she seemed receptive to your chats so far? Good luck! :) That's exciting.
