Ah, flip turns. Yea, I plan on trying to learn how to do that so it will force me to keep going whereas if I touch the wall, I will want to take a break. You'll prob beat me. I've never really swum laps before and the pool by our house was so small, that it was hard to do laps in. I'm not really sure if I should buy a pair or not but I heard that the chlorine levels are high at our pool so maybe I should buy one to prevent me from going blind. :P ExoticAnimal

We're in the same boat because I want to re-learn flip turns too. A few years ago I tried doing flip turns at a local pool at it was not good. I was sooo dizzy I couldn't do them anymore like when I was little. But if you're going to try then I will too. Let me know if you get dizzy.
That's an interesting point you make about touching the wall making you want to take a break. Never thought of that.
Get the googles! I found some deccent ones for about $15.

That's impressive. 30 laps is a lot but I don't know how much I can do in our olympic sized lap pool. Gonna find out Sat. I need to learn how to do the fast turnkicks or whatever its called. Do you use goggles while swimming?ExoticAnimal

Fancy olympic pool. We have no such thing here. I bet you can do a lot of laps! We'll make a bet and see who can do more. :P
From what I recall from my swimming years (many moons ago) they're called flip turns. At least they were on our team. I have to use goggles for sure because I wear contacts (which are totally not optional if I want to see anything). Do you plan to wear some? I imagine your eyes would hurt if you didn't.

It's quite easy to give up carbs. I'm only taking in at the most 20 grams a day and some days I go completely without eating any carbs. ExoticAnimal

You're a freak.

:P

Carbs are delicious! Yummy yummy.

*gets excited* Woot Woot! Makes me want to go to the gym right now and do some something but busy writing lab reports. :( What did you do at the gym? Did you go swimming?ExoticAnimal

I did a Zumba cIass and then swam 30 laps (and did a kick board for 8 more). But not the impressive continuous kind of laps. The kind where I stop every single lap to catch my breath. How was that?

Lol, misleading I am. Didn't mean it was naughty stuff. =x Just not stuff I want to mention out loud.

My day to day stuff is, eh. No surprise to you, but I am starting to slightly, somewhat, fall behind on work, but only because it's stuff I REALLY hate doing.

DigitalExile

Oh okay. I won't push about personal stuff but if you'd like to talk I'm here. :)
And color me surprised. You're in big trouble mister. Do you hate your work because it's hard or just boring?

Yes, they keep things from getting jostled around too much. I don't think so, maybe I should air dry them rather then have them in the dryer, hmm.

certifieddata

Yes do that! I dryer-d my jeans and tried to wear them today. Big mistake.
So glad girls don't need sports underwear.

Oh things are okay here I suppose. Any deeper response might require a PM >_>

DigitalExile

How about a deeper response about your safe, day to day stuff? Does that need a PM, or just the naughty stuff? But maybe your day to day life has been naughty. Hmmm

A discipline axe?

I have a pair of sports underwear that I have to almost be greased up to get on, I swear they are shrinking.

certifieddata

 Sports underwear?! LOL. Picturing that is funny. And maybe you're... growing? Oh boy.

You will learn through the power of the discipline brick *smacks*

certifieddata

I have a better kind of discipline for him. wink wink.

Also,
I just tried putting on one of those tight swim caps. Good heavens. You'd think it'd be easy but it's not.
