@abHS4L88 Nintendo based a whole console on a gimmick. Naturally that earns it more resentment and prejudice from gamers. Sony ain't far behind though, what with the Vita having you swipe the screen to boost your companion up tall ledges in Uncharted... I just sit there for a minute and let the hatred fill me whenever a swipe event pops up. The yellow arrow prompting me to take my finger off the controls and caress the screen. GOD THAT'S GOOD GAMEPLAY!
Victory squats! Hahahah, that was a good one! I thought that was something that only happened in consoles but I'll be damned if some kid didn't take the time to come over to my corpse and do it while I was playing some FPS I no longer remember on PC. Truth be told though it was the one and only time I've seen it happen. So Microsoft never brought Halo 3 to PC...a shame that. Like most folks I enjoyed the gameplay of the prior two Halos very much. It is ominous that they wouldn't port their own games to their OS and I can only hope Microsoft changes their mind on PC gaming.
Shootdodge's recovery has always been risky. Even in previous games you were supposed to land behind cover (despite them not having cover systems) especially in higher difficulties.
I was very underwhelmed by the DIII beta but Mr. Wilson shut me up with his comment on innovation. Now I'm pretty sure I will be buying the game if my friends will.
