well ahead of anything else avaliable on the market at the time.

Yeah, that never happened

just look at Skyward sword, what other game at the time could stand up to it? such a complete game with fully incorporated precise motion controls

The problem i find is people tend to only compare zelda titles to previous games in the series, which can make for unfair criticism IMO. all the console versions (post ocarina) were all well ahead of anything else avaliable on the market at the time.

Zelda titles should be marvelled, we are unworthy to do anything else

Hopefully it'll be able to overcome the awful title.

Who will be the main buyers of this game?

Children and casuals

What will they be given when they ask for 3D Mario?

I know, right?

You'd think Nintendo would've learned their lesson 20 years ago, when absolutely nobodybought Super Mario World for the same reason.

Congrats, you've given me the worst argument this month.

Care to try for the year?

Guess I'll have to fill you in, then.

Nintendo have been using this naming convention for 20 years now. 'Land' refers to the handheld titles, 'World' refers to the console titles (or 'Land'/'Country', in the case of the Donkey Kong games). The similarities between the names have never affected them in the past.

Something simple like putting '3D' at the end would have been better; Super Mario World 3D

your Never to old to play Nintendo games. Nintendo have botched their advertising campaigns so im not surprised people think its a 'Childs toy' but that is far from the truth.

Assasins creed 4, Call of Duty ghost & Watchdogs will/have been released for Wii U, so the best third party games will be on the console anyway. hope that helps

If Mario 3D world doesn't push the system dramatically it will be a massive slap in the face for Nintendo. the amount of development that went into this title is insane.

i also don't understand the logic in releasing Smash bros on the 3DS aswell, Why are they giving gamers another reason not to buy the Wii U ?

Well, Smash Bros. 3DS is a different smash bros. game technically, and will have connectivity with the Wii-U version. What kind of connectivity? I'm not even sure yet, but it could be successful.

I think when you get right down to it, the Wii-U has different hardware than the 3DS. So, there will be games that work out on one system and not the other. I think the key to Nintendo making the Wii-U popular is giving gamers more unique gaming experiences with the tablet controller. They'll have to figure out ways to do that.

Sure the more enthusiastic gamer knows that the Wii U version will be a much more richer experience but do the masses know that? mind bogglying decision by Nintendo to take away Wii u's best exclusive

It wont push the console, we have proof of that.

The Wii U launched with a Mario game and it did absolutely nothing as far as pushing the console.

i hope your wrong. Mario 3D does feel like the first 'MUST HAVE' game for the Wii U, although i do feel like there isn't enough advertising for it. where are the posters? frequent T.V adverts? why didn't they create a Mario 3D Wii U bundle

Nintendo's marketing has been terrible for a long time now

I dont want any more revisions, just keep putting out limited edition systems.

spot on. I would rather they work on improving the eshop experience and connectivity with the Wii U, the console itself is already perfect. Nintendo are going to have an impossible task of creating the next generation ds system
