I didn't know that ati was better then nvidia but I was wonder why my 4290 ati look so much better then my 8800gt nvidia both with 512mb. That explains it. Sorry for putting this in here but I didn't know about ati and nvidia. I agree with the perso who started this form everything does look better then my other card and brighter and almost like it was in 3d almos

IMO it seems like in order to get a decent card to play games like the 5770 cards and up you need a rather roomy mobe cause they are so fat. I wish they would build bigger better cards yet keep them slim so that virtuly any one can go out and get one with out having to sacrifice 2 or more slots just to have better graphics.

This is my question? I want a single slot gpu that runs cooler then my 8800 512mb does and better then the 4290 512mb internel gpu that I have in my new pc.

At the moment I'll say money no problem I just want to know is there a gpu out there that is better then the 2 I have mention and it has to be a single slot card. Wich of the 2 that I have mention above is better far as graphis go cause the 4250 really looks great. The graphics just seem to pop out at me.

I'll have to go into my profile that I have and chang what pc that I have.

This is what I have AMD Phenom II x6 2.8ghz Asus m4a89gtd pro/usb3 with 4gb DDR3 4290 512mb 1tb hdd ultra 750watts Cooler master 932 haf.

This mobo you can look it up if you aren't familer with it but this is what's holding me back from gettting a really nice gpu cause the pci-e 2.0 slot is just about on top of the pci slots and even if I didn't have anything in those slots my psu would be in the way. So I'm hopping that a single slot gpu card would fit. I need to test it out by putting my 8800 in there but it runs soooo hot I'm not sure if it would stay cool enough and I don't want my room to feel like a dryer with all the heat that could or would be comming out.

Yea well that is what I did plan to do but for right now I won't put it in cause it puts off so much heat from it . Even though my case has pleny of air flow the problem will be all of the heat from with in will be in my room and I don't want that to happen again. I forgot to mention but my case is the Cooler Master 932 full tower HAF black tower case with 3 230 mm fans 1 140 fan and the ability to put more 120mm fans on the bottom of case also I got a ultra 750 watt psu with a 135mm fan on it. So in my opion this is one bad looking maching but it will be even better with a 5770 gpu inside of it also one of the 230mm fans has a red led and it isn't very annoying either. This pc is so quiet that the only noise I can hear is when the dvd rom starts up and when the HDD is doing something other then that it is well and trully wisper quiet. I just love thie machine.

Thank you very much and I do plan to get a 5770 gpu card later when I get more money or when the price begen to drop a bit more. Also it didn't go that smoothly but that is a whole different store all to gether but bottom line is that it works and it runs a game that would take half a day on my old dual core cpu.

Well I don't and this just mop now but I don't have that kind of money to plop down on a brand new card and I think I'll go for the 5770 card when and if the price comes down even more. All I plan to get is one and if I have room on my mobo I'll do 2 but have never cared to do 2 cards in the past. All I know is that the 5770 card sure does look very nice and I have seen plenty of videos about that card and all of them speak highly of the card and now that I have built my dream machine now all I need toget to finish it up is a new gpu well newer then what I have now.

Ok every person out there or who ever says a x6 is no good for gaming well for a fact at least mine does great.

So it is a AMD Phenom II x6 2.8MHg 4 GB ddr3 Win 7 64 bit home edition a asus m4a89gtd pro/usb3 mobo Hatichi 1 TB HDD a dvd\cd rom an internal gpu 4290 radeon ati I think but not sure.

I just got done playing Supreme Commander Forged Alliance with graphics at like medium some on low and off even not sure what rez it was at but it wasn't default rez onbord sound I used and it was very nice.

This mobo comes with a core unlocker and a gpu booster turbo 4 and 5 I believe but at any rate if you are trully are interestied in knowing what all this mobo has just look for it on the net.

I'm using a HDTV 32" for the monitor and I do have mouse a key board already.

Any how I don't plan on ocing any ways and if someone does say that there x4 is better then my x6 well tell me this will it ever magically turn into a x6 from a x4 with out having to change the chip physically. If so I would love to know how it would be done but if now well then mine is better and would kick your pc any o day as long as it wasn't oced but any how this is just how I feel.

Ok cause my 8800gt 512mb runs like a heater and I use it during winter but summer it is a nightmare and the next GPU I get I would like fro it to run cooler then that but I'll wait until prices come down abit. I'm sure it is worth the price that there at but I don't have that kind of money to spend and still beable to build a pc. I'll just wait.

How soon will dx12 be out hu? I mean who knows how long any one component will last cause there is always going to be better things out then what you pick up. Even if you have the money and go and build the best pc that money can get you like all of ther greatest and latest stuff you know and then in like year or 2 at best something else comes out and what you have is out of date. So I'm not saying we can't sermise about how long this or that card can go but it is just an assumpsion. Nothing can be futer proof cause these days pcs could be in the palm of ones hand.
