just saying, i'm a man, but this sounds a bit belittling:

"They feel empowered," he said. "They put on that armor and they walk around with these massive weapons and I think they get a kick out of it; I get a kick out of seeing it.

a female protagonist wouldn't matter, it's more that you shouldn't focus on her being female by making her wear loose shirts or something, just throw her in the same power armor and it's fine if you start just focusing on her being a woman, it just becomes a shouty type of differentialism ''look at our game, we have a giiiiiirl''. just let the protagonist be a girl, that it, no need to spend extra attention calling eyes to it.

it's usually too big a gap between normal and collector's.

the normal game is usually 45

and then the collector's is 150-200 or something.

if it's a game i really like, i might consider buying like a premium version in the 80-100 price range, but any higher than that and it's usually just an overpriced statue and some stuff that'd be in the premium version.

you can tell a great developer by the work he puts in, building even tiny details that might never be found, but he does it anyway, just because he wants to deliver the perfect experience. makes you feel the dev's not doing it for the money, but instead for the game itself.

dlc can be a great way to extend a game's lifetime and content, but after a certain point, it just becomes a desperate lifeline, like a braindead person being kept alive. sometimes, it's best just to let the game be, before you ruin it with too many expansions.

dlc is like duct tape: with limits it can help improve something, but use too much and it'll just fall apart.

bs, after the batarang fight, sony would never change the dualshock that much. it's a true and proven controller, that generations of gamers have fond memories of. sony isn't stupid enough to throw that away.

used to be, pixel art style games were special, a tribute to the old days, not just an option to take when making a low budget game.

used to be, people called their game what it was.

don't get me wrong, i can appreciate an art game, i loved journey and fez too, but it's starting to feel ''art'' is just being used as an excuse to deliver a lacking product.

i'll just break your postulate: who says games have to be deeper and go beyond over-the-top action for teenagers?

the game industry, is an industry, revolving around money. if this bring in the moolah, why change? what's so bad about the majority of games just being for teenagers craving violence? it sells, that's enough.

@Suikogaiden

i didn't say it was a good game, nor did i say it wasn't. i merely explained that it can't be ''alternative'' if it's mainstream as hell.
