jesus christ, finally DICE. i mean, we've been asking for this for five years and more. i get it, i should be thankful that you're implementing it, and i am, but that doesn't mean i'm not disappointed that it took you so long to listen to something brought up time and again.
and i never said otherwise, now did i? but 8 people, that's just stupid. imagine 8 people sitting in front of a tv, you're already having space problems. a platformer with 8 people? too chaotic. soccer and WWE also never supported more than 4.
who cares? 4 is the good amount, more isn't always better. seriously, 8 people in the same room having to look at the same screen? that's a tiny screen per person.
i get the feeling microsoft is just trying to impress with big numbers, even though they mean nothing.
@harndoogle i don't know why you're talking about ''selling out'''. it'd just be Sony buying them (like Naughty Dog) and they'd be free to do whatever they want, but Sony gets a piece of any pie they make. in return, they'd receive funding to complete and expand their product.
if sony was smart, they'd buy out the Oculus Rift team. they already have massive popularity and a great backing. with Sony's muscle they could get that consumer version out much faster.
because that describes CoD the most, highest probability.
are you listening to yourself? of course you look down iron sights in a FIRST PERSON shooter. of course you shoot people in a first person SHOOTER to get to the next objective.
you're being ridiculous. it's like saying ''in all these platform games you're always jumping. so unoriginal''.
@digits52 i hear you man, i loved Nintendo growing up. they were the kings of gaming in the NES/SNES era. they had the best games.
they still have great IP's, but they seem to be content to copy the last game, rather than go for originality. the IP's are a double-edged sword too: seeing as games from them sell so well, there's no need to create original IP's.
i might not like the direction Nintendo's taken the last 8 years or so, but i'll always have a soft spot for them, just out of nostalgia and childhood memories.
graphics aren't anything, but they definitely help when a game is trying to be immersive.
also, what people do find important is just a normal controller without the gimmicky bullshit (although i don't like tabelts being brought in with everything. i don't WANT to have to look at 2 screen, it fits on one, so why 2). still, at least every game on xbox one or ps4 is able to played with a normal controller?
or maybe people find a normal goddamn line-up of quality games important? you wouldn't know about that, would you Nintendo, with your questionable-to-absent 3rd party support?
or maybe people like new IP's, instead of your ''important holiday line-up'', which consists of remakes and glorified level packs.
you're right Nintendo: people need more than pretty pictures to buy a console, problem is, your competitors offer that ''more''...
