that's why i like quantic dream and i'm getting a ps4 since they promised around 3 exclusives for it. i've seen trailers for beyond two souls, and i don't know shit about how its going to play out, it seems very different from heavy rain. They are one of the companies that aren't afraid to go out there and try something "new". lionhead used to be like that, black and white and fable were a gem for their times, i miss old lionhead.
gw1 and gw2 has proven that you can do a MMO with no subscription fees. say what you will about "no end game content". they add major updates and events every 3 weeks with a whole lot of content + world vs world.
And even if you don't like the game at all, you have to admit that is possible to do the same policy they do, a 1 time purchase only and you can buy all the store items with gold.
They didn't need to release it as f2p, just a game to pay only once like guild wars did.
But oh well, i'll play this when it is failing and they decide to go f2p route or something.
This game might be awesome, have great developers etc... but the community for this game will be empty as hell, with such great mmo's that you don't need to pay a subscription, only a few people would actually buy this for $60 and pay $15 a month.
I'll pass, mmo should have a massive community and i just don't see this happening for this game.
of course it changes everything, changed the online restrictions, the drm policy, the used games fee, the always on kinect.
They keep reversing the things that were "integral" to the console, i keep asking myself if they know what the hell they are doing with this console, it seems they just want to push this thing to sell and figure out what it is after.
exactly, sony did that with a lot of stuff already, so it's not a "take that sony" only a tap on the shoulders for microsoft to say *we remember the drm shit, now pull your shit together*
