i recently had random crashing issues and this is what i did.
if you can, safemode, or the time before the crash,
go quickly to the control panel
click performance and maintenance
click system
go to the advanced tab
under startup and recovery click settings
under system failure UNcheck automatically restart
wait for it to crash and if it's a system error you will get a blue screen with a stop code. write it down and google it.
if no blue screen, it's probably hardware.
good luck.
it would be worth your money to save up for a new PC entirely.
settling for an AGP when what you want is pci-e will only be decent for a few months, and the whole time you'll be thinking, "this sucks, i could be using something much better."
save the money. 2600 sucks.
[QUOTE="blazethe1"][QUOTE="zipozal"][QUOTE="blazethe1"]awesome! i love you!
i just ordered 2, and from the looks of it they aren't sold out.

Glad I could help :) I'm a bit surprised they aren't sold out yet as newegg sold all the ones they got today and they were selling them for a greedy 270 then again if I were looking for a video card bestbuy.com would be one of the last places I looked so it's probably just that most people don't know about it.
my thoughts exactly. i never check places that charge tax, but for $5 LESS than retail, i can deal!
Ya, on top of that bestbuy.com is one of those places that usually overcharges as it is, your steam name isn't Blaze by the way is it?
nope lol, i think this is the only account i still have this name on.
[QUOTE="LouieV13"]Im trying to save him a few bucks... its not that hard anyway if he wants to be stubbern and waste money on an alienware i'll stop.codezer0People with the money to be able to buy a proper prebuilt gaming system, are usually the kind of people that don't have time or paitence to assemble a computer themselves. They just want something that works out the door, and has ONE phone number for tech support if something goes wrong. They don't want to deal with having to call twenty different companies and buying replacement parts out of their own pocket money.
well TC, if that's you, i say go for it!
that was sarcasm. you don't want to be that person. at the very least, go to newegg and pick out the stuff you have on alienware. chances are youll find something you like better that isn't available on AW. just see how the prices compare and make your own decision.
[QUOTE="Bebi_vegeta"][QUOTE="Thinker_145"]Lack of desk space is a joke.I am pretty sure you can arrange something to keep your CRT on and it's just a one time cost and hassle and i guess since we spend thousands on gaming, gaming is alot more important to u people than some lack of desk space.
But unfortunately people will try to defend their purchases of LCD's.
Thinker_145
Lack of desk is a joke?
There's really no possible way a 19" CRT could fit on my desk with a confortable viewing distance.
Cant you buy a new desk.or he could go the cheaper route and, i don't know, BUY AND LCD?!
