because the amount of cpu required to generate large detailed armies with explosives is more than anyone is capable of right now. ever played the original gauntlet? the crowds in that were ridiculous :P
my system in my sig runs it smooooooth. trust me, you DONT want min requirements, thats like always running a game on low/skippy settings...except its not a game, is your OS!
