@JangoWuzHere: When I checked the ToS for twitch I didn't see any parental consent clause. Only the part where it bolds the importance of not using twitch if under the age of 13.

@nini200: I see you as well have been surfing bungie.net heh. These are my thoughts exactly. The kid is just as deserving as punishment as Kirmit. The bleeding hearts of gamers will always support the underage child though.

Just imagine if the order was labeled as a movie. It would be 10$-12$ to watch at a theatre and would be 25$-30$ once it's on dvd. Now imagine the scores it would get if it was reviewed as a movie. Probably worst than the score it got from gamespot.

This is a game that tries its best to be cinematic and distant from a game. It ultimately fails in both aspects.

Top comments are on point.

Just playing the bad guy for a second, but do we really need another post about this? Sure, we bashed The Order to high hell up until and during its release in regards to its length and replayability. However, now every post on the front page is everyone justifying his or her purchase of the game saying that the game is amazing.

I'm not saying the game isn't great, but a lot of us who aren't rushing out to buy it right now are only doing so because we don't want to throw $60 at a five to seven hour experience, one that has limited gameplay. I just wish our sub could get past these posts, if you truly enjoy the game then you should spend more time playing it then posting about how amazing it is for the umpteenth time.

EDIT: One more thing then I'm done being the bad guy. Most of the justifications for this game include a heavy praise for the graphics. No one here is denying that the graphics are incredible, but these devs were quoted saying that they wanted a cinematic experience, so they sacrificed gameplay (better framerate) for better visuals. Not to mention that half the game is just prerendered cutscenes, which means that having amazing graphics isn't actually that hard to accomplish. I can admit that if it is one thing that The Order delivered on, it is the graphics. But on being a good-quality game that actually feels like a game and not an interactive movie? Well that's up for debate.

The Order 1886: I'm glad I didn't purchase this game.

I redbox'd this thing. I finished it the first day in about 8 hours.. and decided to keep it a second day to get the platinum. I did that earlier tonight and I'll be taking it back this afternoon. Total cost for me: $6.48. I can NOT see paying 60 bucks for this game and being happy about it. I think these glowing reviews all of a sudden are due to people trying to justify their purchase.

I give this game 6 out of 10. Yes, the graphics are fantastic, but a lot of it gets lost in the muddy dark dreary colors of oldie London. The voice acting is top-notch and overall the story has a good concept that just falls a little short. Unfortunately the game just isn't fun. It's not a bad game, but here's what annoyed me:

The black bars.. only because I know why they did it. Less screen to render means less difficulty keeping the framerate. I get their "cinematic" excuse, but I think its baloney. Render the whole screen.

The text size... I'm old, I have glasses. I had to get up off the couch to read a lot of that stuff. Yes, I had to MOVE.

I didn't care about any of the characters, no matter how much they tried to drag an emotion out of me. This was a big disappointment.

If you're going to force me into stealth/sneak mode, don't make it so I'm constantly snapping into cover when I don't want to.

Too repetitive. All of the gunplay encounters were pretty much the same. Three identical werewolf encounters. Apparently they only attack in warehouses. Both "boss" battles were the same. Just not very imaginative on the gameplay front.

Boring meaningless collectibles with no good way to keep track of them.

With threads like these the collective IQ of SW is dropping faster than the number of exclusives on the xbone :o

Well, if you would stop posting, our average would skyrocket. /s

Anyways, these type of threads are created quite a bit...

Hmmm. I'd say this thread should be officially stopped at 1886 posts.

Having played a couple of hours so far, it's honestly not as bad as people are making it out to be. There's some really good ideas that went into it, and some really dumb ones. Definitely a lot of room for improvement. Would be interested in a sequel.

So you're half way through it then?.

This tends to always be the damn general consensus, on the reddit and other gaming sites.

"I've played up to chapter 7-9 and, I am actually enjoying this game! Dunno why people are hating it, its glorious."

The reviewers and everyone else who knows is that the second half of the game is where this game stumbles.

This game is always stumbling. I don't ever recall liking the first half better then the second.

It is consistently terrible.

The score GameSpot gives is pretty much a accurate representation of the game.
