Zero problems with the changes. In fact some of them seem logical. The extra stuff (flashbacks) before the outbreak are one of the things I really like. Adds a lot of interesting information and give a different taste to the effects that come later.
Great show so far. Still, I obviously prefer the games, but this is probably the best adaptation of a game I ever saw in my life.
Everything Everywhere All at Once was my biggest surprise this year. Come out of nowhere and went directly to my top 3 movies of all time. Simply amazing, emotional and filled with love.
@daidochus: "and look what happened to TLOU2 under Drugmann"
Its a superb game... nothing more, nothing less...
"Know your gaming lore before you comment nonsense."
On that I have to agree... But I would add, don't warp reality. In every project and in every story development you have a ton of ideas in the desk.
After analysis decisions are made. You would not have TLOU1 the way it is without Straley, that's a fact. But you would not have TLOU1 the way it is without Druckmann either. To not acknowledge that is to be biased. Which, after TLOU2 is a disease that some of you suffer.
@daidochus: You will be able to compare with different works. All you have now between the two is a cooperative effort.
I'm not taking away nothing from Straley contribution to TLOU1. On the contrary, he and Druckmann are responsible for my most loved game. So... high respect for both of them.
But then I have TLOU2, Uncharted 4... games I really love. So... to say "Straley is better..." is just an empty observation. At least at this moment.
