@chriss_m: "It seems, honestly, like everybody agrees the show is better than the game."

LOLOL... no... We are talking about 2 very different experiences. The serie is giving some things the game can´t give, and the game gives many things the serie can't give. The adaptation its great, just that.

"Hopefully he can go some ways to salvaging the mess of Part 2."

Sure... Saving something that is close to perfection... LOL

@peterroberts123456: Always the same pathetic comment of someone who not played the games.

As always... let's wait and see. I refuse to judge before release and then look like an ass...

I like her and her personality on screen... let's hope for the best.

@alastor529: "which was stolen from her form the toxic male known as Joel."

Oh... You mean the man who saved her life... and from being killed? Ok then...

Agree with toxic male, but in the last of us you have 90% of people being toxic male or toxic female... so...

"see her self succmbing t5o the same mistakes as Joel only to not go thorugh with them because Joel was weak and toxic."

yeah... She may saved someone who loves... it is so gross. People loving other people. What a crazy world to live in...

Jokes aside, Joel made many mistakes, saving Ellie clearly was not one tf those mistakes. It was one of his redemption acts.

"It'll just be another game further crapping and burying Joels character as this huge villain"

If the games show something is tha Joel is not a villain or a hero. It's just a man with flaws... human flaws. Saving Ellie is not one of those flaws...

And TLOU2 is not "crapping" on Joel. On The contrary, it gives him real love and humanity. It also gives him a brutal death, but that scene is more focused on Abby and Ellie than Joel.

@chubby170: "I dont even know what that would be."

Then you would loved them... same mentality.

"The first game had nothing to do with Ellie's sexual orientation."

Nor the dlc... but you know that Tess and Joel have a relationship... guess that is not so relevant for you...

"Then they have a DLC that takes place prior to the game mainly about just that."

Wrong again. The dlc is and extra, another information about one of the main characters. You have Joel and Sarah backstory, but you don't know nothing about Ellie. This dlc shows you who is Ellie. The fact that she is gay is the least important thing in all that is happening.

This dlc shows you the main source of Ellie's trauma. And Ellie's trauma is the essence of Ellie decisions, both in TLOU1 and TLOU2. You change Riley and Dina for a boy and the story (except the pregnancy) it would be exactly the same. Because the main aspect of it all is Ellie trauma and the way she values herself (or not as we can see in her own words).

@chriss_m: So much text to say... zero...

"we'd all benefit if you managed to deal with your neurosis internally, rather than spurting it into the comment section and taking the conversation off-topic."

This is funny... and you say this after: "if the rest of the woke mob"

You are a different kind of special...

@chriss_m: "These Druckmann fanboys really are something else."

Again you are not thinking clearly. It is not Druckmann fanboys, it is Druckmann haters. That's what you find here, because is that people that brings the fight between both of them for the "responsible" for TLOU1. The rest of us know that even those two are not alone in the creative process. There is a ton of people involved. But you guys need this fight in order to justify your hate. We don't...

@chubby170: "How would it not get under peoples skin?"

I thought it was a nice story with a tragic ending. But by norm I respect any kind of love. Hate on the other side... not so much...

"And from what I recall, most did not like that DLC."

Uhm... You need to get out of extreme right forums... it will open your mind...

"Very poor change of direction."

There was zero change in direction. It was a side story that shows you Ellie backstory, her motivations, her desires, her fears but most importantly her trauma and why she thinks her life is meaningless besides a possible cure...

Which is of huge importance to her actions in TLOU2.

But again, you need to see the big picture, if you focus on a minor like... to think as she is gay or not... there is little hope for you.
