@ricklepick: "How're you going to just recast Geralt?"
They just did it... they changed the actor... as simple as that. Henry did a very respectful job as Geralt, but his acting was as always very limited. (in my opinion, obviously)
@daidochus: What I love most is to see people acting in a clever way, proving they are not...LOL
I guess the same thing happened to you when playing TLOU2, most of the information just went over your head, you should read a bit more the comments before replying to me.
I said and I quote: "It could be better, especially the writing. Some parts are a bit silly."
Comparing this show to TLOU2 is pathetic, House of the Dragon would be a better comparison... its also filled with depression. But comparing a game with a show makes zero sense, so... even my comparison only rasps the surface of a debate about both stories.
Rings of Power is simple fun, filled with simple glimpses of hope and enjoyment, and that's enough for me.
It started slow, but it is a very acceptable show. It could be better, especially the writing. Some parts are a bit silly. But overall is a fun to watch show with great visuals and after 2 episodes it gets interesting and more appealing.
@Diminished: I "watch this"... but funny thing... normally I don't comment on it. Good to see people who don't "watch this" commenting on it... its an interesting situation...
@Akriel_Boulve: No one is telling you to be silent. You have every right to show your disgust. I just point out the emptiness of your complaints after first 2 episodes.
This is not a movie, this a serie, so you already know what to expect. To keep complaining about the same things over and over is just a waste of time. You know that this is their story, they already defined a clear path, so you either are on board or not.
They are not 100% accurate, well... the Harry Potter movies, the LOTR movies, and almost 99% of books adaptations suffer from canon changes.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the purists, what I try to say is that the serie structure is defined, it will no change no matter what, people has only three choices, enjoy it for what it is, move on, or keep complaining in a self pity misery. I think the first two choices are the better ones to follow.
"Similarly you can look at what Star Wars has been reduced to. The brand is a joke now..."
The irony is... for the first time in a long time I´m having a blast with one SW show... Andor...
