@ironhorse89: "I've just observed a steady decline in quality when it comes to the majority of films these days."
But the thing remains... what is quality? Especially in an art form...
I may prefer to listen to Morphine than to listen to Adele. So... How can I define the terms of quality?
If we are talking about bad writing or narrative inconsistencies... fine by me, there is something to work with. If we enter the realm of personal taste everything goes, there is not right or wrong.
@bdrtfm: Obviously, in the end you will have mixed opinions in every movie, game and so on. But you can easily find a flow direction in many of those movies, even when people enjoy something they can bring an honest opinion to the table.
What I'm saying is that you have many reviews and there is no flow. You can easily find someone who loves this movie and someone who hates it.
Sadly... Nowadays, a bad review sells better for the person providing the review.
@bdrtfm: You have mixed reviews. It ios fun? Yes. Maybe too fun? At times yes. Still... a much more slow burn? Yep. (which is not what the trailers show)
Some people loved it, some people enjoy it, some people think is meh and some people didnt like. There is not a definitive direction.
@Chutebox: Ragnarok it's the turning point, but not so huge as many try to convey. Thor 1 and 2 are per se comedies in a dramatic setting in a Shakespearean way. Since Ragnarok with let the Shakespearean way out and go full traditional comedy.
So my point remains, as long as difference, the biggest difference is that the audience loves ten times more this new Thor. And the type of humour on it.
