@deathstream So, government has our best interest in mind right? They are all saints who rise above politics, money, ideology....drop the talking points for a minute dude and look around, what is working about this set up? What is getting better? You can honestly say you think your kids will have a better life than you did?
@deathstream I wanna ask you something I ask my liberal friends (and some of my right leaning friends too), Why do you unconditionally trust politicians? What incentive do they have to be "good guys"?
@corteztheg like everything else that happens in washington, there is no good reason, most basic answer is: so that politicians can tell their constituents that they were "part of the solution", opposing this non-sense would be used by your opponent labeling you "part of the problem" when re-election comes up
@zombieseesmeat @corteztheg It's not so orwellian sounding anymore, people used to be called crazies when they'd say the government is taking over, but now we see it unfolding, slowly to be sure, but it's not just conspiracy theory anymore. Look no further than the price tag of the government (our debt clock), our government is becoming an amorphous blob that can no longer sustain itself, much less it's citizens.
That's the thing about government control and overreach, people are all for it, and happy to vote in these bureaucratic dopes, so long as they don't touch too close to home..."control everything you want, but don't touch anything of mine!!" It's all or nothing baby ;) Forget that history tells us that almost anything done by the government can be done by the private citizens much much more efficiently, and free to the tax payers. Military and foreign policy being the exceptions (bureaucrats do have their place). So when we look at our shrinking paychecks and rising taxes that are being taken to fund crap which is increasing in price much faster than our taxes btw (look at the debt), we only have ourselves to blame because we voted in these idiots. Wanna solve our country's problems? Stop looking to the problem for solutions.
@michaelrjohnson @PoinT_To_Blank Let's say they did nothing, just ignored the whole sandy thing...you think those folks that bought those kittens would have donated anyway? They didn't have to do anything, at least they did something, now people who need it are getting some help.
@jorge69696 And what other game company has given 2.3mil to sandy? Least they're doing something, i think they did it with the japanese monsoons or whatever too, bliz doesn't claim to be mother theresa, they didn't HAVE to do anything. This is a good thing, no reason to troll.
