@sellingthings: They have though. PS4 has dominated global sales every month since it came out, and will continue to do so every month going forward. Xbox has gained some ground in the US, and inched ahead slightly for a few months, but it doesn't even come close in worldwide sales.
@sellingthings: I don't want backwards compatibility. I would MUCH rather have this method. I still have my PS3 and games, so it wouldn't do me a bit of good since I can just pop them in my ps3 and play. I don't have my PS2 or games anymore, so this is cheaper and easier than hunting down old games and a console. People like you cry about it, but for me it's exactly what I want. Also, they do "make games for the new system". They are called PS4 games.
Conan is cool and all, but he really is completely clueless when it comes to gaming. If there's not boobs or explosions, it doesn't hold his attention.
You can get the 1060 for $200, this will be by far your biggest value if you're considering anything near a $200 price point. It beats the 480 in almost everything.
@nzowa100: Sure. First and foremost, it's barely a game. There are no gameplay mechanics, just walk around and read stuff. This would be fine, since some games have very little gameplay and fantastic narratives (Telltale for instance), except the narrative sucks as well. The story is a cliche, done to death premise of: "Girl meets boy from wrong side of tracks. Girl falls for boy against parents wishes. Except there's a "twist" (weird that they treat it like that), it's actually a lesbian relationship. They present the story the whole time as if the 2 girls are friends, then finally the big "reveal", they're more than friends...that's it. It's a soppy, boring teenage love story that tries to throw in a red herring with a "haunted house" element, but it never really feels like it fits, but rather feels like a distraction that doesn't belong there instead of a literary device. Twenty dollars and 2 hours I'll never get back. But if this all sounds appealing to you, by all means, give it a shot, lol.
@shinrae5: Gamespot seems to use the whole number scale more than other sites. They never really followed the fanboy notion that "everything below 8 is garbage".
