I personally see nothing exciting about the new update, it's nothing worthy of the title 3.0. No b/c, no universal, seamless custom soundtracks, no ability to stream music to your ps3 from a computer while playing a game, no cross game chat. It has some cool stuff I guess, I'll be sure to get it soon after it comes out anyways. Maybe one of the 'hidden' features that do not appear on the changelog will pleasantly surprise me.

I already own God of War I-II. However, I do not care. I am GETTING THIS. 720p support, playable on my PS3, and trophies = no brainer for any hardcore God of War fan. I honestly did not expect it to be at the bargain price of 40 dollars too! Which means I'll be able to find it online (probably Amazon) for like 30. WIN.

The thing about a new game + is that you don't have to do it if you don't like it. I agree that VC would work very well with MP, but it still has great replayability IMO. The majority of the greatest games of all tiem (IMO) are single player only so I don't believe the lack of MP hurt it too much. VC is one of the best games of this generation, by far.

I don't think it will work. If you even remove a HDD from a PS3 then put it back in the same one without doing anything to it, it won't work and you will have to reformat. You will have to probably back up the data to an external HDD then restore it on the slim. But some data might not restore, like gamesaves that are protected (because of trophies) and certain downloaded games possibly. I think and hope there is a way to transfer everything but I'm not too sure.

I have 1050/1050 on bioshock, 1200/1200 on Mass Effect, 1000/1000 on COD2 and COD4, and 1250/1250 on Oblivion. I HAD 1000/1000 on Halo 3 before they added the new achievements. Now I have 1500/1750, but I plan on getting all 1750 when ODST comes out. I think that's it but I may have 1000/1000'd another game or 2 not sure...

I WOULD use HDMI but my 360 is the old pro model that didn't come with an HDMI port. It broke 3 times but of course MS never sent me one with HDMI. So I use component upscaled to 1080P on my tv

It's not bad, but to me it felt like a less fun version of Stranglehold. Probably a bargain bin purchase for me at best.

Thinking of getting a bigger HDD for both my PS3 and my laptop, but by the time I do I'm hoping they'll come out with a 1 TB laptop HDD... :D

I have that TV. Samsung T220HD? It doesn't have a yellow cable. You need component or HDMI. I use and recommend HDMI. It's like 3 dollars on Amazon.
