So that I can bring this back to Smash Bros in my ending, in Melee Shiek and Zelda as one character worked because Zelda was the Zelda from Ocarina of Time. Changing into Shiek worked as a move for her. I do not think that Zelda turning into Shiek in Brawl would be the best idea because it's the Twilight Princess Zelda, and Shiek has no connection to her. I think for Brawl it would probably be better to have Shiek as a separate character. We'll just have to wait and see though.

once again you people do not listen, I said its understandable for people to be mistaken because they were purposefully not clear. Not many people know that shiek is zelda and so when basically most of the people here were surprised or proven wrong it was understand able. PERIOD.

Anyway shiel needs to have her own Down + B so does Zelda. Either make it so pressing a different button turns you nto shiek or make shiek a seperate character.

I did listen to what you were saying. You said that it is unclear as to whether or not shiek is zelda. If you never played Ocarina of Time, it would be kind of understandable, but considering Zelda transforms into Shiek it should be obvious Shiek is a female. In Ocarina of Time though, Shiek turns into Zelda right before your eyes. Nice, clean and cut. But lets end this debate because this thread is supposed to be about Brawl.

SHIEK IS NOT IN THE GAME! Zelda is the twilight versionand did you see Shiek in Loz:TP??? ummm....No! and that is the same with every other character, like wario is his latest games verison of warioware, Ike is from his latest fire emblem, and link is also the twilight version because he has the same detail and design on his costume, just how link from S SBM was the OoT version. and mario has fludd because they couldn't do super mario galaxy version because they were coming out so close before (Nov. 12 - Dec. 3)Jayesler12

puck tards... zelda and sheik are the same person... a FEMALE person. The reason some characters call sheik a "he" when SHE isn't, is because it's good disguise... and if they called her "she", it would give away the twist...

Today im going to go buy a wii, so far on my list im going to buy zelda, and mario galaxy, what other games are "must haves" in your opinion.mgelineau

Ur list is v good so far, Zelda and Galaxy are the two biggest must haves... if you're into first person shooters, i recommend Metroid prime 3:corruption, but if you decide to get it, you should probably get the gamecube ones first because it's the final game in the trilogy... It's V V V V good though. Then of course there's Brawl, which comes out in Q1 (first quarter) 2008. It would probably be worth getting melee as well, and stockpile ur gamecube controllers so you can use them for brawl instead of one of the other 3 controller options.

Resident evil 4 and super paper mario are also both very good games... not quite must get, but definately better than the games listed below.

The following aren't "must have", they're just recommendable: Mario and Sonic Olympics, Red Steel (i HATED it, but some peoplelike it, and maybe you'll agree with them), Wii play/brain academy (you get those with a wiimote)(play is better, albeit short lived), link's crossbow training ($20 and you get the game and the WII ZAPPER, a little thingo you put ur wiimote and nunchuk in which lets you hold them like a machine gun for optimum accuracy!!), battalion wars 2 (or bwii), rockstar: table tennis, LEGO star wars the complete saga and guitar hero III.

So obviously there's tons of choice, as well as some of the premium gamecube games... but the games in the second paragraph, yeah you've gotta have them

There's no denying that we're overdue for a character, but this update has pacified my disgust at least through the weekend. I like the new mode. So are these matches that are sent to Nintendo and then redistributed through the online system, or would we be watching live matches? (*edit* I think I read that the matches are sent to Nintendo and then redistributed to everyone in spectator mode. Correct me if I'm wrong.) The reason I ask is because I want to know if someone bets on me! It would be really cool to know that someone is counting on you to win, kind of like a gladiator or a horse race or something. (*edit* Since I'm deducing that the matches aren't live, then it would be cool to get a message when someone did bet on you, but I'm sure that that's a little too much to ask for.)

Also, is this just a one player mode? Are you coins Wii-specific or profile specific? I'm hoping for profile specific, so that you and three friends can each have a personal amount of coins with which to bet. I can think of as a really fun mode to experiment with if multiple users on one Wii are given the opportunity to bet.

Anyway, I don't think it's going to be one of my favorite modes, but sometimes I really do get tired of playing without being tired of the game, if that makes any sense. So I'll probably try it out to every once in a while when I'm bored.twosaxy4myshirt

can't you rig this system to get stickers/coins? I mean, if ur in a group of 4 with two wiis, you get two friends to vs each other, get everyone to bet on one person and then you just let that person win...
