Has the gamespot fad run out?

I was thinking today that mabye my gamespot addiction is starting to wear off. When i joined about 4 months ago i spent hours on the site, in the forums, writing reviews, reading articles and loads more. Now i hardly go on here, mabye once a week to check on the news and send the odd message.

Its a shame cause i really like the site, but something just seems to have changed mentally in me that just dosn't care as much.

Help, cause i want my gamespot addiction back. Does this ever happen to any of you at all? Mabye it'll come back and mabye it wont, who knows?

March number 1

Hey there, yes its that time again where I bobomb64 anounce the new number 1 flash music video of march 06. There hasn't been much new this month although we do have a new chart topper.

It was close between the pussycat dolls and their new single, Plastic is the way to be. However the new number one is kind of a group get together, abit like the perfect day song. So i present to you The ultimate Showdown performed by varoius artists.

The Ultimate Showdown

Does having children effect your gaming?

I was chilling out last night after a hard days work, and something dawned on me. Since my daughter came along i hardly play my gamecube anymore. Ocasionaly i'll put it on for a quick game of ISS or Mario Stage but thats it.

I used to be a big game player, clocking at least 3 hours on a day i was working, and about five hours on a day when i wasn't. Now i'm probably pushing it if i said i play games for an hour a week!

The only time i really thrash my brain with a good gaming session is when my mates come over. In the last few months, i've spent more time discusing games on here than actually playing them. I really do think that having children really has effected how much i play my console, and when ive got around 70 gamecube games starring at me its abit disheartening.

All Riddled Out

Thanks for guessing the previous riddles, i'm going to end it with one last riddle.

Which balls are fun to play with but don't bounce??

And before you guess it, the answer is not testicles.....

Riddle me this, Riddle me that again???

A man lives on the 25th floor of a skyscraper. Everyday he wakes up, gets dressed and gets in the lift to the ground floor and goes to work. However when he comes home, he goes up to the 15th floor and takes the stairs the rest of the way. Why does he do this???

Riddle me this, Riddle me that??

You are in a cold house in the winter. It is dark. You have one match. There is a candle and there is a wood burning stove. Which do you light first?

Leave your answers and i will reveal all soon....

February's Music Number 1!

Hi and welcome back, i'm bobomb64 and this is Top Of  The Pops. The past few weeks have caused a stir in the music world with the zeldatrons holding that number one spot for so long. However, its now all over as the Snackstreet boys atempt to re-launch their careers with their new single; which i may add knocked the Zeldatrons of the number one spot yesterday.

It was a close call between them and The Rolling Metroids, but the Snackstreet boys came out on top. There must still be fans out there after all. Enjoy!

January's music number 1

Hi this is Bobomb64 live at the one, the only, top of the pops. This week has had alot of competition with new entries from U2, EMINEM, and Sir Paul Mcartney. However, topping the charts this week is the Zeldatrons with their new hit single............Link!

Developers give us the same old dribble!

The problem with video games is that no developers are creating any original ideas for new games anymore. Alright, we occasionally get treated to an original title like Giest for example, (see my review) which is great. However I really don’t think there is enough of this at all. Too many developers are concentrating too much on creating sequels, with just a bit more crammed in. A good example of this is the prince of Persia series. Instead of giving us three games over three years, how about this. Spend three years developing the whole story, create a fantastic game with three discs, and get it right the first time.

I’m not against developers taking a game from a previous console like GTA and then making a more glamorous 3D version, but we need some fresh original ideas too. A lot of games are made using the engine from other games….mmm. So what there giving us now is a game we’ve played before, just with a different story and different probably worse graphics.

Having sequels isn’t always bad, I mean look at the resident evil series and the Zelda series. It’s just when different games come out by play very similar to other titles. When the X-box 360 was launched you only have to look at the launch games to understand that most of it was old hat. Just old games with half a tone of gloss slapped onto it. Joanna dark walked onto the screen and I mistook her from Dame Edna Everage.

I’ve always been a true Nintendo fan and I’m just hoping that the Revolution stands by its name and creates a whole new revolution for the gaming world. With great titles and original ideas, I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

New Years Resolution

:D Well here we are 2006, time really does fly by a little too fast sometimes. I still remember the days when I was three years old, getting up in the morning for a cuppa with me dad.  However I think it's probably best to concentrate more on the future rather than dwelling on the past, which brings me to my new years resolution.

That is to be more creative in the things I do, buy, wear, write, just about everything. I'd like to start off a drawing portfolio of video game characters, and mabye start off a comic strip or something in my spare time. I was also thinking of doing some creative photography with my camera, so if anyones got any tips let me know.

One thing i can definatly say is that 2006 for me is going to be loaded with lots more gameplay! Especially when i get my hands on the revolution. There has been alot of speculation regarding the revolution and twilight princess, well i have the answer!

Zelda is one the most popular games on the planet, and Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma know that everyone is going to want Twilight princess. (I mean they have been tantalizing us for ages). So if they put up the Revolution, with zelda, for 120 pounds there is only one outcome? The Rev will sell like candy floss at a fun fair. I mean there is a console war going on. If Nintendo release it on the gamecube it will be compatable with the Rev, so people will hesitate to get one. If it comes out on the Rev you will have to buy one to play it, so there is your answer.

Anyway we'll soon find out this year hopefully, so as for all of you gamers out there have a fantastic 2006 and happy gaming!
