[QUOTE="dsgsdfgf"]

Do they seriously think I'm that stupid?
They still haven't added my all my games that I bought from D2D, why would I buy anything from them ever again? :evil:

JangoWuzHere

They give you all your cd keys. That's basically all you need really.

Nope. I am still unable to get STALKER: Call of Pripyat to install from my D2D download despite having all the requisite activation keys. Until GF gives me access to all of the titles I purchased through D2D, I won't use their service. (They still haven't provided me access to DCS: Black Shark, Sword of the Stars, or STALKER Call of Pripyat.)

Bioware pretty much shot themselves in the head when they joined up with EA. Short term greed killed the company.

I bought it in the last Steam sale. I've got a very high end PC but the game still runs somewhat poorly and the slow texture loading is very frustrating. I've applied the work-arounds to get faster loading but there is simply no way that I can find to fully eliminate the problem.

I was going to buy Conviction but in light of Ubi's rather draconian DRM, I decided to do some research first. I initially found that the "always on-line" requirement had been removed in the 1.04 patch and was about to buy when I found several posts complaining that the requirement seemed to be back in place. Sure enough, Ubi reversed themselves and re-instated the "always on-line" requirement in an "update" released on July 15, 2012. Guess they wanted to make well sure that any new customers from the Steam sale had anything but a positive, trouble free gaming experience. After all, Ubi's got a reputation to uphold.

I wonder if they're actively trying to sabotage their PC division so they can justify scrapping it altogether or if they really are just that out of touch and incompetent. Regardless, I won't be buying Conviction.

It's OK if you're looking for a lightweight version of Harpoon. (It's even got less features than Jane's Fleet Command) but it's got some poor design decisions. The biggest issue is the lack of an in-mission save game feature. Some of the larger missions can take 2-4 hours to complete so the inability to save your progress is baffling.

Another big issue is the freeze bug. I'm not sure just how widespread this bug is. It affects me and 2 of the three other owners of the game that I know personally yet the developer keeps insisting that the bug is "very rare" and acts as though those of us who are affected by it are doing it out of spite. He refuses to even respond on the forums anymore.

Owners of AMD 7800 and 7900 series video cards haven't been able to play Shogun 2 since the release of Fall of the Samurai several months ago. Neither CA nor AMD seems too concerned with fixing this bug.

I'd advise all AMD card owners to put off purchasing any CA products until they can be sure that they'll work.

If you have an AMD 7000 series video card, do not get Shogun 2. When CA tweaked the graphics engine for the Fall of the Samurai expansion, the game stopped working on those cards. The issue has persisted for over 3 months now with very little in the way of progress or much response from CA or AMD.

It doesn't matter if you've purchased the Fall of the Samurai expansion or not. The update to the game engine got installed to the base game for everyone via STEAM. This is one of the drawbacks of using STEAM. There's no way to roll back to an older, pre-Fall of the Samurai install so if you have a 7000 series card, you're out of luck.

You can read more about the issue here.

I own it and like it. Single player is a bit of a mess in that the AI is as wonky as it ever was in ArmA II and the scenario objectives can be ridiculous (Night Call, the 3rd German campaign mission requires you to single handedly kill over 100 enemies. This doesn't fit in what is ostensibly a realistic WWII sim).

Multi player is great. Get a good group of players and hop into a co-op mission and this is a first rate game.

Until I get access to all the games I purchased from D2D, GameFly isn't getting any of my business.
