No, Counter-strike you tend to play much more carefully then TF. I really doubt you'll be able to control well if you used a Xbox 360 controller.

Keyboard + Mouse > Xbox 360 Controller - especially in FPS games

:( i love my wired 360 controller and hate mouse and keyboard except for rtss

You should get used to it as a keyboard and mouse is always better than a controller when it comes to FPS games. Always. You'd seriously be putting yourself at a disadvantage by using a controller.

No kidding, console shooters prove this with popular games such as Halo 2 having auto aim to a degree to make killing people far easier..

i turn auto aim off and i dont think it will be in halo 3.

..........Auto aim in the game can't be turned off its a built in feature in both single and multiplayer.. If you aim any where near the head even if your off you will usually hit him.. Watch the numerous Youtube videos on this...

there is an option for multiplayer games i agree that auto aim is lame but love console games alot more than pc. Im just filling in on all the great games i missed. If I suck with a controller I will go to a mouse and keys.

Hmm without more info on your PC we can't really make any recommendation. Find the manual and look for the chipset name, like Intel 845GE, 945PE, 965G, etc...

Failing that tell us what type of CPU you got.

Erlkoenig

AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800+ 2.09 GHz Performance Rated at 2.80 GHz

Then get the PC2700 or PC3200.

The funny thing is those DDRs are now more expensive than DDR2 (at Newegg). You should look for used ones eBay or something.

pc2700? pc3200 im sorry i really dont understand lol if you could please link me it would be GREATLY appreciated.

just make sure the ram is compatibale with your motherboard...and 1 gig should be fine although if you want to max out your games you should get 2 but considering that you don't even have 512mb of ram now im sure your system would be bottle necked. so in otherwords getting anything over 1gig would be a waste for you.rob1101
so how do I know if this is compatible with my motherboard would this work? its a gig and cheap nd how do I know if it will work with my computer? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820211059
