Excuse my ignorance, but is there really any diffrence between 1080i and 1080p? any real NOTICIBLE diffrence?Broman6015
Depends on how good your eye is and the quality of your TV. Basically, i means interlace, which is drawing every other line on the screen then going back and filling in the blanks on the next pass. p mean progressive which draws every line on the screen on each pass. I personally can tell a difference (i has a bit of a "flicker" effect), but others can not.

Windows Connect is crap when trying to connect to PS3. Give TVersity or Winamp Remote a shot. Both are worlds more reliable.

Not until the Spring. If I had to guess, I'd say around March.

Didn't see anyone talking about audio on here. Perhaps the biggest advantage, if you have a quality sound system, is the audio included on blu-ray. To fit everything on a DVD, the audio is compressed which takes away from the quality. Blu-Ray movies include full 7.1 channel audio uncompressed. If you have a good ear (and again, a quality system) the difference in the audio is even bigger than the difference in picture quality (which is still pretty drastic).

What's your experience with videos? I just tried The Big Lebowsky from PC to PS3 and it was loading for a good few minutes then I got a "The page cannot be displayed" "Network error occured"

ScottEFresh
Support for video is fairly new (or at least fairly new to me) so I haven't played with it much because I've had Nero or TVersity setup (TVersity is free btw). I was able to get some vids recorded by Media Center to work PC-to-PC, but haven't really messed with the PS3 much. I just know that if its not a file you play natively on PS3 (i.e. Divx/Xvid/etc.) it will do exactly what you're describing. It has to be a straight up MPG/AVI with no encoding.

Ok I just figured out how to do it and it's amazing! WOW! I hope this works this well/easy on my cell phone I will be in heaven.ScottEFresh
I haven't had much luck making it run smoothly on my Moto Q, but I haven't tried much either. It does work extemely well PC-to-PC. I've been using it for more than a year now to listen to music at work from my home collection. I believe I got it to work on my PSP once too, but that may have been TVersity, not sure.

its working now but its only detecting about 20 albums and i have way more than that they copy to the ps3 fine but they just arent showing upd_ano
It takes the progam time to build up its index. Also, it depends on where all of your files are saved. It doesn't search the whole PC, just the My Music folder, so if you have stuff stashed elsewhere, you have to tell it where to look.

You have to install Winamp Remote, it prompts you for the install when you run setup for WinAmp. It works well for music and maybe photos (haven't used that feature), but video support is limited to files that can be played directly on PS3. It won't transcode like Nero or TVersity.

Rachet is clearly the superior game since it got at least a 9 on almost every site except Gamespot. Still, I suppose it depends on what genre you prefer.

Folklore is a dark fantasy action/adventure with RPG elemets and a good story.

Rachet and Clank is more of a light-hearted platformer. The story is more weaker, but the shooting and overall gameplay is far superior and just a lot of fun.

Not to say I would prefer Folklore (though it is a good game), but to say that 1 is better than another based solely on reviews isn't fair. A review is merely 1 person's opinion. Sure, R&C got better scores across the board, but Folklore is a very stylized, niche type game. It wasn't made to be a flagship brand like R&C. I'm sure there are plenty of people out there that would prefer Folklore. Its all about personal taste and what you enjoy playing. That being said, I've only played the demo for R&C, but I own Folklore. Folklore is a slower, more story driven game than R&C (from what I gather, not having played through R&C, I'm basing that on previous R&C games). On a bas level, the core of each game (collecting weapons and items using them appropriately across several linear levels) is the same, but the way each goes about it is very different.
