My old PIV 2.8 1GB Ram runs that ok, you shouldn't have much of a problem running Oblivion with those spec.

Write a more suggestive title the next time.

That small font kills my eyes

I think that's a dual core also.

Intel seems to be stronger than the AMD builds. Read the comments here and if you have a friend inside this whole PC hardware ask him what he thinks about the builds you're considering.

I've read that alienware overprices their customers just so you can get better looks on it.

I cringe each time I see someone say:

"Looks good. IGN/GameSpot/whatever gave it a 9.5"

Without playing the game.

As we all know money does wonders and marketing hypes our minds into oblivion. A review is made by someone else, who knows what biased circumstances, money or favors may come into play . A review should be looked upon as a general guideline. Many times before I've seen amazing reviews on a couple of places and then the game has groundbreaking BUGS, all looks and no substance and you can almost tell the reviewer didn't went past the first couple of levels and did not immerse in the game enough to get an honest appraisal.

In the end you can only trust yourself. See if you like the game, make up your own mind.
