Gameplay. Put it this way, Crysis is the best looking game out there, but it'll never be considered a classic game. Just one that pushed forward graphics in games.

I agree with the TC. I've been bored out of my mind with the gameplay so far. I'm 2 or 3 levels past the "guily suit" level, which itself was total garbage btw, and I couldn't care less about the story at this point. It's just a mess. It feels like a first person SOCOM with way more buggy issues. Yay for failing script events! (reload last save point).

cheatymcshifty

buggy?!?! no not even. haven't found a single one. and the "guily suit" level was one of the best in the game, not to mention one of the best levels ever. you phail...

The guilly suit level was horribly unrealstic, and I had nothing but bugs throughout. Having to restart that level 3 times because the other sniper gets "hung" on a script is BUGGY. He basically holds your hand through the entire level, telling you exactly what to do. And then when you do start sneaking around its ridiculous that enemies can see you from far away at some moments, and cant when you are 2 feet in front of them later. All because it suits the scripted moment to make them blind at certain times.

And the "final" snipe? Totally retarded. The only moment in the ENTIRE game that wind effects bullets... how freakin convenient.

Yeah.... its the only time in the game your shooting from 800 (or 900?) meters too... so.. theirs that.. ya know, because when your shooting from 100 feet away, the 3 MPH wind isint going to have much of an impact..

I agree with alot of the people here (not that first page... I was suprised to see so many people agree, actually) COD4 is one of the best SP campaign's i've ever played in an FPS ... not to mention the amazing multi, its one of my favorite games ever.. the only one that's on my top 10 list that came out last year..

The varity definatly helped, and none of it felt tacked on or poorly thought out... I love COD4.. and i've never played a COD (for more than a few hours) before.

It's certainly a great single player experience, is there co op? I don't enjoy it's multiplayer. But if you're only going to put that in your top 10 from last year then you're missing out on some seriously amazing games like Halo 3, Mass effect, the Orange box or Bioshock.

I hate, HATE this sales rubbish. Since when has quantity mattered over quality. The only thing any platform should be judged on is the quality of its software. After all, it really doesn't matter how well a platform sells if it has no quality games to play on it. STOP WITH THE SALES S**T.Frozzik

I'm not sure anyone really likes it. But for now it seems this place is obsessed with sales and so I'm trying to change their way of thinking.

Should we really hype games so much, should we really focus on graphics so much? No, we shouldn't... But this is system wars and that's what system wars users do.

Shazenab

Surely software sales should be just as heavily focused on though?

So far we've been measuring success purely by console sales. Nintendo appear to be trouncing MS and Sony because the Wii is generating huge buzz and as a result, selling more consoles. I ask, after the previous half a year in which MS have stated twice that their console AND software sales have amounted to a great profit than either of its competitors, should we really focus on console sales quite as much?

Halo 3 has a brilliant ending and a more than satisfying last level/ concluding chapter to the trilogy.

Probably NG, hardly anyone buys the games.
