"The new aesthetic is different but still beautiful" - It's not only the most beautiful Zelda game ever made but one of the most beautiful games ever made, IMHO. It's artistic visual style, now in HD, will never age significantly, just like the visuals of Super Mario Galaxy's two games, if they ever release them in HD. 50 years from now this game will still look beautiful, unlike 99% of the games released this year for any system.
The open world structure and supposedly being "more realistic" doesn't impress me much. But the tactical and stealth gameplay seems to be at least as deep and involving as in the excellent MGSIV, and apparently they improved some of the most awkward mechanics, particularly when it comes to jumping. Overall a great trailer, with impressive audio-visual presentation and enough gameplay, IMHO.
I will only judge Kojima's character designs when I play MGSV and really see how the character behaves, if she always dresses like she is in that picture, and what part in the story she plays. I beat MGSIV and it have some sexy moments, but were few and easily forgivable, although no woman looked like "Quiet". We'll have to wait and see. Until then I see this only as a scheme to generate publicity for the game. But Kojima has already been criticized many times for making the cut scenes too frequent and indulgent in previous games of this series (which I agree), and he doesn't seem concerned to correct that in MGSV...
Great review Mark! Seems to be a really awesome 'Action Platformer' (my favorite genre). As of right now it's on my personal "must play" list of games.
I've never spent a penny in F2P games and I higly doubt I ever will, because I became bored with those kinds of games before that happened and haven't touched a F2P game in years now (and I still don't miss playing games like that one bit).
