Too bad for them. Maybe they can still make a good game with that money... or find a way to collect more money through other channels... Eternal Darkness was a great game and anyone who say it's bad and has actually played it doesn't know how to appreciate it. You might not like that kind of games, but that's not the games's fault. The gameplay is a bit dated for today's standards, but when it was released, which was before 'Resident Evil 4' came along, it was an awesome and inventive survival horror game.
Well it seems gamers really like to spend 100+ hours exploring the vast world of Skyrim. I personally prefer shorter and more action oriented games, being SMG2 my favorite of this generation, and that way I can to save time to watch movies and tv series, read books and hear music, all of which I also love to do.
Resident Evil 4's "zombies" were also inspired in this type of fungi infection. Even in the game there are clear mentions of that in pages you find, I think in the labs. So TLOU's "infected-humans" aren't a totally original idea in the world of video-games.
@baszzer 'I am Alive' is a downloadable game, I think for sale at ~15$, while 'The Last of Us' is a high budget game, for sale at ~60$. So, I don't see any relevance in comparing the scores of those two very different products.
