@Apathetic_Prick Nope, you were referring to cinematics as unskippable five minute scenes and the only time that happens is the tram ride. The tram ride sets the mood for the whole game, showing you this is going to be an immersive experience, not just another shooter. Sorry it's not your taste. And what you mean by "seemlessly interactive cinematics" is called scripted gameplay. It's what HL does best and it's copied till today by most FPS's like Fear and Call of Duty. How is that purely superficial innovation? I still think you didn't play the game.

"We need to tell them not to cut up expansions into a dozen \\\$5 add-on packs" We need? Gamers' only voice is their wallets and they are not united. Gamespot is one of the biggest gaming websites in the world. How about YOU write a true article about the bad business practices and make a big deal about it? Or give lower scores on reviews when games are incomplete or full of DLC on disc? The thing is we gamers feel you gaming websites are more aligned with the companies than with us.

@LinkinParker440 Because in a discussion about preordering it is important to know some people think this is a scam and will never do it.

"it is the second time in a month that BioWare has been the subject of large-scale ire." And it's the 100th time I see Gamespot going to the rescue of this company after it began producing weaker and weaker games, either by publishing damage control interviews or writing articles like this. If this is a gaming specialized website why on Earth Gamespot didn't address in the review the fact the ending would be at least controversial and probably disappoint A LOT of people ? It should count when giving a 9.0 score. Nowadays it seems reviewers and gamers are not playing the same game.

The big games are being made with the lowest common denominator in mind. ME2 seemed more like an action game with interactive cutscenes than a real RPG. And the way the camera focused on showing Miranda's boobs and rear end was so gratuitous it was funny.

Gamespot should make a poll about who is the greediest gold digging company: Sony or Bioware.

OK everyone agree people don't have the right to offend developers over a thing like this so I'll talk about Bioware. The problem here is not what she said but how Bioware games are losing their soul because the company wants to cater to every single gamer in the world. If a game is designed so that story is the major point you put less combat, like developers did with Planescape Torment for example. Hell, you can put the skip button like she said on a game like LA Noire, it all depends on the game's design. But you can't just pick a well-balanced title like DA:O and dumb the sequel down so it can also cater to action fans and deliver a half-baked product to the franchise fans knowing they will buy it anyway.
