I bet people will say I'm wrong on this but, I was pissed off with spoilers from the first game in this review. I didn't play Metro 2033 but thought of it after reading about Last Light. Knowing the ending from 2033 wasn't cool. It could've been said that Last Light picks up after one of the endings or something like that. I read lots of reviews before that didn't spoil other games. There are ways of doing that. I usually like VanOrd reviews because he has a great writing style and is really critic but this one could've been avoided.

@brxricano it's what I tried to say on a comment below. You can't do realistic hacking through a smartphone in the middle of the street with mere spare seconds. Indeed, Hollywood does it this way for a reason.

I may be ignorant about this, but saying that they're trying to make a realistic hacking experience when the description of the game is, "Watch Dogs puts players in the shoes of Aiden Pearce, a hacker who uses his smartphone to break into the city's central operating system to control things like security cameras and also to obtain personal information", makes me think that yeah, it's gonna be a sexed-up Hollywood version of hacking.

All I can say is that this game looks more awesome by the minute. After knowing that it's going to be singleplayer only, my heart skipped a few beats. I have been waiting for a true singleplayer FPS experience for a long time now and Wolfenstein is providing the perfect setting. I only hope that it reaches up to its promises. And I can't help myself from thinking how awesome it would be if a developer tried creating a game such as this with Warhammer 40k setting. That futuristic-medieval stuff is just plain awesome.

Nice touch with the red ring of doom from the Xbox 360 on the robot's head. That IS scary.

@DarkSaber2k maybe Brothers in Arms, but I can't remember either. What I'm hoping is that it will be similar to XCOM: Enemy Unknown in the sense that your guys actually get better with time. This way you'll be more protective of them. Permadeath is only interesting if you actually have something to lose. Even in CoD you get your boys killed from time to time and then another guy with another name appears out of nowhere. You don't even care since they don't do much for you. But companions that actually evolve... that's something.

So many rebels without a cause. This game might be very good. Also, permadeath isn't new indeed, but to third-person shooters it's a big deal. GoW was ridiculous in that point. Big ass alien could chew your friend's face and all you had to do was respawn at checkpoint. I'm hoping this turns out to be a good game.

I'm still awed by how buggy this game still is. Betas have been launched with fewer problems. I really like the Sim City franchise but I think that by the time the game is finally playable, I'll probably buy another city building game from another developer.

Looks like Hellraiser mixed with Evil Dead.
