@groowagon: Nothing does it quite as well as the old school side scrolling Metroid games, but have you tried Dust: An Elisian Tale? That's another decent game in the vein of a metroidvania.

@globalastro: I think they left out Scalebound because it was pushed back to 2017. Kinda sad about that one, it's one I'm looking forward to. Just picked up an XB1 with that in mind, then news comes that it's delayed. No biggie though, got Forza 6 and Horizon 2 for my racing itch, and Ori is definitely a great game.
