@Atzenkiller: Not for full game audio...kinda thought that was obvious. I was referring to the times when it's implemented as, say, a chat interface when receiving a message from an in-game character, or things like that.
I think in Dirt it was used to project your spotter's announcements.
It's not wholely needed, but it is a neat feature, none the less. To each their own though. You don't like it and that is perfectly fine.
@Blade_Runner_07: I don't think I'd really call this chasing trends. It's more puting out feelers to see if there is interest in some of the controller features that MS' base would like to have. There's absolutely nothing wrong with one company seeing something that could be innovative and then adding it to, or even improving upon it for, their own hardware.
We wouldn't be where we are today in gaming, if these kinds of things didn't happen and everyone just stuck with what works. Sometimes you strike out, sometimes you find something that is a boon for all.
@sakaixx: Depends on platform, I suppose. Been playing on PS5 and had 1 crash to home screen, but other than that, no issues. Been enjoying it too, despite still getting used to the first person perspective.
