Other Uses for the Wii Balance Board

As a dance pad, it's missing a whole lot. As a snowboard or skateboard simulator, not gonna work. Those SEGA arcade games used full sized boards, and you had to stand on them like real ones. Skiing could work though.

How about a pogo stick simulator? Maybe Marching Band Training.

The Wii Bathroom Scale will end up like the DK Bongos, e-Reader, GBA Connectivity, Power Glove, Action Pad, R.O.B. and SuperScope.

It'll have 2 or 3 mediocre titles released for it, then be abandoned by Nintendo for their next gimmick and found at yard sales all over the world.

Knowing Nintendo, they'll actually develop a good chunk of software that will never see the light of day outside of Japan too. Just to piss of the rest of their "Core Gamers"

I still have my Bongos, Power Glove and R.O.B by the way.

Can't deny that WiiFit will sell 5 million copies though

Golden Sun DS a Reality?

SOURCE

More information on Golden Sun DS

- You control Felix
- The story seems like a continuation of 'The Lost Age' (although I only sampled a very small section)
- The story and text were the first things completed on the game as the developers wanted a strong story
- Touch screen controls (similar to Animal Crossing / Zelda DS)
- Touch screen psynergy
- pseudo-3D graphics (very similar look to the GBA games however some elements of 3D)

Hunkering down for E3

I gots me some coffee, food, blank dvds and other treats beside me.

Gonna be a crazy week for us gamers. This year I'm downloading all of the trailers for all the console games showing (No decent PC, don't like to be teased).

All in HD to play on the old 360. Already over the 2GB mark, and nothing's even started!

Things I want to see at E3:

1. FIRE EMBLEM RELEASE DATE!!! PLEASE NINTENDO, I BOUGHT MY WII FOR THIS!!!

2. 2 or 3 demos surface on Xbox Live

3. A 360 price drop so I can finally convince my friends to jump in.

That's about it really. I really want to see some decent, deep Wii games show up, but I'm not holding my breath.

Import Review: Hot Pixel (PSP)

This WarioWare style game showed up at my door yesterday. I love region-free gaming! I always get to play games early. For example, Hot Pixel's not out in North America untill September, but I got it shipped from the UK for about $10 CAD more than it'd cost me here...

And I played it three months early. Short game. Took me longer to write the review than play it :P Good though, better than most WarioWare rip-offs

Zelda: Phantom Hourglass also showed up, and it's an amazing achievement. Truely awesome so far, and it's not like I play Zelda for the story, so the Japanese import is totally playable.

Anyways, check out my Hot Pixel Review

Awesome New Emblem: Thank You!

Thanks for reading my reviews, and voting for them. Apparently I'm in the top 100 community reviewers at GameSpot!

:D

I really appreciate that people take the time to read through them (sometimes they're 800-1500 words) and give feedback. I'm currently planning on reviewing Band of Bugs and Prince of Persia Classic from Xbox Live Arcade, as well as some stinkers like Raw Danger for PS2, and some imports like Otama (DS).

Thank you again for reading!

I need friends for Xbox Live!

So, yeah...none of my real life friends actually own a 360.

I'm not huge into online play either, so I don't just meet people while playing, say...Gears of War online.

I'm pretty big into Live Arcade titles, Tetris, PGR3 and Crackdown, but again...not a huge online player. More casual than anything. Anyways, if you read this, please either leave your gamertag, or add mine "bryehn".

When I do play online it's usually pretty late (11PM - 2AM Eastern)...If you're down for a session of Double Dragon, TMNT or Aegis Wing, I'm always up for those...

In truth, I'm trying to get my "Rep" up by being invited to games, etc.

:P

Besides that, I recently moved to a new apartment, so I've been really busy unpacking and stuff. Also got me a new 32" LCD HDTV. Primarily because of my 360. Unfortunately, my beloved PS2, and my seldom used Wii look like complete ass on it :\

Now that I'm settled, I'll be posting alot more, uploading some videos from some of the games we've been getting, and writing a few reviews for games people need to pay more attention to (Crush for PSP for example).

Cheers,

Bryehn

Square-Enix Announces New IP: The Last Reminant

-Running on Unreal Engine 3 (Sorry Wii)

-Simultanious Japan/USA launch targeted for spring 2008

-Directed by: Hiroshi Takai (Final Fantasy Anthology, The Bouncer, Legend of Mana, SaGa Frontier)

-Announced in Game Informer instead of Shonen Jump or Famitsu

-Turn-Based combat using "QTE" (Quick Time Events)

Scans of Game Informer are floating around, and the game looks great. Huge scale battles that feature hundreds of combatants. I'm sure more details will surface soon...
