What's your Brain Age?

Well, I've had the "game" a few weeks, and my average Brain Age is 32. I'm 29, so I'm pretty pleased with myself. I've missed a few days here and there, and you can really tell when it's been a day snce you answered rapid fire math questions. I have not had a single issue with the voice recognition. My wife is French Canadian though, and has trouble getting the game to recognize the word "blue". Apparently this is an issue for alot of people. If you happen to have an accent, you may want to be aware of this. You do always have the option to not do the spoken tests. Anyways. It's great and I reccomment it to anyone with a DS. Check my review.

Imports, Trading, and PS2 Role-Playing

Been a while since any updates from me, and it will still be a little longer :P

Long story short, Traded a buttload of unused XBOX titles for a PS2. Mainly for RPG's like Dragon Quest 8, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Shadow Hearts 3. I figure those 3 shoulsd keep me busy till Zelda or the Revolution comes out...

Got Metroid Prime Hunters and posted a "First Impression" review (can't seem to make a working link), check my contributions page.

It's ok, but Tetris is way more fun. Reviews are coming for Sonic Riders (GCN) Super Princess Peach (DS) and Tetris DS.

I got "Cooking Mama" imported this week for my DS. Arrived a few days early :D. It's seriously one of the most fun, addictive games I've played in a while. I'll post a review as soon as GameSpot lets me, as the game's "official" release date is Thursday.

Oh, and my mom sent me my old NES, and get this...it still works!

Anyways, this was meant to be a placeholder untill my next post, guess i babbled a bit.

So much to do...

Alot of really good titles on the go and on deck. I honestly can't decide what to get into. I sunk a fair bit of time into Baten Kaitos, it's really good, but a little too drawn out for my tastes these days. I don't mind long, but a speedier pace would be nice, I actually found myself falling asleep to the world map tune a couple times too :P

Getting Up seems as good as I had hoped so far. It's been a while since I saw an action game through to the end, but this one's design and production values really keep my interest.

Started into Indigo Prophecy and was nothing short of amazed. Great experience

I'm also going back and playing the earlier Fire Emblem and Advance Wars games which should keep me tied up a while.

The thing is, Children of Mana and Super Princess Peach are out this week, and I also need to see what Fight Night is all about.

Turning Japanese...

...I really think so. Two Bleach games, Eyeshield 21, and Kururin Squash are all on the go in addition to what's on my now playing list. I'm really starting to over-hype myself on the revolution by seeing these fantastic games for myself. I'm very much falling in love with Nintendo again. it's really a shame that we never see alot of great games released in North America, because people are really missing out on some "instant classics". Eyeshield and Bleach could be localized fairly easily, but never will be :\

There's a reason Nintendo is still so popular in Japan, in fact quite a few reasons, and it really is too bad people over here don't get to see the gems being released.

While GameCube importing can be a pain because of the cost and extra equipment (FreeLoader) involved, DS imports are about the same price as a domestic console new release ($50 USD), and work on any DS on Earth. Do yourself a favour and check out places like play-asia or lik-sang.

Ya-Ha!!!

I'm more of a collector than a player now I think. I spend more time tracking down games than I do playing them these days. I picked up a really sweet SNES bundle, and will be diving into a few classics. I just keep getting drawn to my gaming past. I've also been into 2 great new DS imports, Eyeshield 21, an anime-football game with a lite RPG attatched. Nintendo's total genius. Also Bleach DS.

The Revolution is Finally Coming...

...I'm so excited. I also finally found a line on GameCube titles, so I can revisit classics like Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin, and Super Monkey Ball. Picked up Electroplankton, and it actually made me smile. Full-On "kid in a toy store" smile. Still fighting through any manic shooter I can find.

Nintendo's really got me excited about gaming again. The innovation really allows the inner child to come through in me, and I love the way it feels.

A new year...

...and a new love for gaming. I recently discovered M.A.M.E..

Now I'm enjoying 25+ years of the greatest games on a soft-modded XBOX. Sure, it can't run Tekken 3, but who cares when you have Burger Time? I'm stockpiling XBOX games that I find cheap at EB, and was going to get around to starting into these games, but 2-D shooters, and the SNK boot sound captured me. Even Animal Crossing is getting neglected. I plan on reviewing some shooters before beginning to tackle some more current stuff. I still need to polish off the last 4 chapters of Fire Emblem too.
