i know you can get much better pictures by uploading them from the game but i have no internet connection at home atm.. more pics can be seen at my flickr
feedback would be great as this is my first livery design for the animal racing league me and my mates stated
so my friends and i have been trying to set up a racing league for the past week or two, the biggest problem was that noone could agree on a set of rules but now thats been clarified.rules are as follows:
the only change to the car your allowed is too change the rims the car has on,you can not remove the restrictor.
the only assists allowed are ABS brakes and automatic gears.
the car can be tuned in any way you so desire
the car must be painted to match one of the animal shapes in the forza 3 decal set "animals" which have now been assigned and i cannot say im overly happy with my lot(more on this later)the car must have at least 6 sponsor decals and a number plate of your number.
the season will consist of7 races which will be around 20 miles in length for the race so if the track is 1 mile long it will be 20 laps .
as there is 18 racers each race will consist of 3 races of 6 racers which will be changed for each group points will only be given to the first 4 racers in each group :
10 points
7 points
5 points
3 points
fastest lap and fastest race time will be given 1 extra point eachand any DQ will result in 1-10 points depending on the seriousness of the crime.
and finally we done the draw, well some of my pals did and they sent me my number plate i'm number 17 and guess what that means i got the butterfly... :(
but i plan to make the most of it and tommorow im gonna work on a design and upload it here. also wish me luck asfirstrace is 2 days aways and i plan to win.
After a whole day of fruitless searching i have came to the conclusion that one just does not exist at the moment and i cant help but feel that it would be of such benefit for the community here at gamespot..
for instance it would be amazing to just on the fly open your phone and check your messages here at gamespot or indeed check out the latest news or update your blog on the bus when that eureka moment hits rather than have to wait until you get back to a desktop/laptop.
even a semblance of this functionality would be welcome as after struggling with the cumbersome and not entirely functional mobile site i found myself wanting more and with the facebook app already out there as an example i can really see the possibilty.
im not a programmer but if i was i would be onto this in a flash my only hope is that somebody comes across the idea and makes one.
i decidedto change my profile pic as during my phone testing i set up a flickr account so idecided to use this one picture for a profile pic here.yes it is me and yes i did edit it in paint but thats all i have to work with in work..
if you ever read my blog which you probably know the missus was away this weekend and i had a few games to be catching up with my first game was assassins creed 2 which i played to the death i got all the missions done and the only thing i need to get is 41 feathers, i was blown away by this game and i have a review coming as soon as possible.
the second game was forza 3 my plan was too learn to drive with no assists including using manual gears with clutch, now to do this i bought me a steering wheel but not the official wheel a madcats microcon wheel plus the pedals, now on this its very basic you dont get a clutch pedal so using one of the buttons will have to do and the build quality is terrible but it was cheap and it works.recommended for students and such-like.so i played forza gradually weening off the assists as i go by this monday i was quite capable of driving with everything but the clutch i guess it was important to have that third pedal and it will forever remain the within only the grasp of the terminally rich.
on a last and surprising note today i got my first christmas gift 1 month before the holidays.it was a blackberry smartphone and with it i hope to keep connected 24/7 with emails and free internet.i've not used it much but at the moment the isp is still trying to get everything sorted with it.
only a couple of hours until assassins creed is available to buy in the shops near my house, im gonna head right down to pick it up at first light, the other news is that my missus is heading off for the weekend so now i have the whole weekend interuption free , this will be the first game in ages where i have this oppurtunity and i dont plan to waste it.
sure i will miss her but at least i get to stab people in the face without her asking me to go get ________(insert object here) and i wont have to say "in a minute".
Roll on days off!
also quick update on some games i have given a sandwich rating too(how well a game will last once youve played through it once)
batman: arkham asylum: 7/10 it was a 6 but got an extra 1 for free dlc
borderlands : 7/10 not as replayable as i initially thought i just got really bored with the quests
forza 3 : 10/10 excellent, good multiplayer community, modders, tuners, painters if you like racers this is gonna stay with you
so i have had no internet connection for well over 3 months now and in that time my gamerscore is rapidly approaching 30k but as no live connection it still looks like im at 22k and im playing old games..
i need to get my new connection soon because as it is my Forza and call of duty games just arent getting the attention they deserve.
Week of Nov 15, 2009 possibly the best week ever for new releases? i'm saying yes
i know this week we have modern warfare 2 coming out and on an individual basis this is the game im most excited for but next week we have assasins creed 2,left 4 dead 2D,divinity II: Ego Draconis(i've no idea about this one but im always down for some rpg action) and the new indy lego game.
on the whole i would say that is by far the best release schedule for 1 week i have seen in a long time.
after so long the search is over, if you read my postings in the past you will know that i no longer have an internet connection at home which has forced me too give up world of warcraft..
ever since i have been looking for a game to replace it, the criteria was this, Fun, RPG, offline play, grinding, parties ,different character classes. i have tried every rpg i can think of ,blue dragon, oblivion fallout, infinite undiscovery, the last remnant, sacred 2 and even borderlands.
but i have finally found a worthy replacement Dragon age origins ..thank you again bioware for this and also mass effect and the awesome star wars games!!
i have a problem with user reviews, for everygame that comes out , on the first day there will be 4-5 user reviews about how good or how bad these games are. now its fair too say that you could review a game with just a few hours play if a game is bad you know its bad, even if the game is good you can say this right away, but one thing these reviews lack is how well the game keeps like a fine sandwich games can be great at first but like the sandwich you wounldnt want to be eating/playing it a week later...
From now on i wouldnt review a game until i have had it for at least 2 weeks. the sandwich rating as im calling has some obvious champions .. RPG's, but there are other games out there that would score high like GOW2 and call of duty, multiplayer playing a big factor in these .
so thats my theory now to find out how it pans out.
