As far as I know games don't have region codes. Your PS3 will play any and everyone of them. The thing with the globes has something to do with the online play I guess. So there should not be any problems playing them. However I read somewhere that some countries have different versions of the game depending on the cencorship policies of the mentioned country.
As far as I know you cannot change the player's abilities, age etc. once you have created him and started the season. You may have to delete your current game an recreate a new session.
They dont damage...but i think my HDTV or HDMI cable is faulty On a few games...mostly games that play 720p i believe, small white dots will flash on the bottom (roughly where your ammo count would be on most games) Its a line of single pixels, its like they turn on and off...However Turn my TV off and on again and it fixes the fault. Well sounds like a TV screen fault to me. Did you try standard cables to see if it is really the HDMI cable?
It is a fact that this game has a lot of cliches. But what differs this game from the others of the genre is the excellently created atmosphere, brilliant sound effects and (this is a personal view) the tools you use to destroy enemies. I own the game, have played it 3 times. Gets easier each time since you get familiar with the weapons and the environment. I don't tend to keep games that don't have multiplayer options either off or online but I'm keeping this one.
