People pay "full-retail" to go watch a movie at the theater with friends and family.

Why?

Because it provides an experience that simply isn't possible with a local set-up.

OnLive is worth it for me and thousands of others because it does just that. Mass spectating with voice chat is something I take for granted now. You guys just seem to assume that OnLive's feature set is exactly identical to the consoles.

Valve is an overrated developer, I agree wholeheartedly!

Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat? Left 4 Dead? These properties were not original - Valve just bought them and brought the developers to these games in-house.

I have more regard for their digital distribution system (which is fantastic, addictive, and easy to use).

They only made one good game, and that was Half-Life. Half-Life was awesome. Half-Life 2 and its subsequent expansions were merely good, but pale in comparison with the original game.

only real game they made was HL1 everything else was a ripoff of someone else's game...TF2 CS2 DOD L4D..they was all mods

Wow.. People always blame the download, not their ISP... I had the SOCOM beta downloaded, installed, updated and playable in about 40 minutes with my 20mbps broadband line... Even at that my area only supports 5mbps but with the 20mb deal i get unlimited broadband. My PSN downloads are usually 500kbps+.JohnF111
