Ok, for starters my router does not even have a name on it (The only words on the entire box is "power" "ethernet" "line 1" "line 2", etc) It came through my ISP which is Road Runner (through Time Warner Cable). The modems brand is TouchStone, the router doesnt have a name on it, just a black box.

My routers IP address is 192.168.0.9

As far as my DNS settings, I've called my ISP multiple times this week to try and fix this ridiculous problem and they are of ZERO help. I usually get some dumb foreign broad that can barely speak english, let alone give me any useful information. Therefore I could not get my "DNS settings" out of her. I just get frustrated and tell her shes worthless and hang up.

If there is any other information you need to help me out please let me know, I will be glad to give you any information I can for someone to help me change my NAT Type ASAP. Thanks in advance for anyone taking the time to try and help me out. I get frustrated very easily and bottom line is I just want to play my PS3 online without getting randomly disconnected all the time, thats all.

Thanks for the advice man, but I am almost certain what needs to be done is changing my NAT type. As I mentioned before I cannot find one person or tutotial that has yet been able to help me change it. Someone please help!! I refuse to play online again until my NAT type is changed.

I am unbelievably pissed off at my ps3 online connection. Half the time it works, half the time I get booted. I'l lbe playing COD4 online for 3 or 4 hours fine then all of a sudden bam disconnected. Reset the game, bam disconnected. Its **** unreal. I have a wired connection and my internets fine. I have no problems doing anything online on my computer, only my ps3. Ive done my reserach and I realize if I want a better connection I should change my NAT type from type 3 to type 1 or 2. Ive also read the step by step directions how to do this a million times here.. http://www.ps3forums.com/showthread.php?t=74303. This still does not help. For 1) I have no idea how to assign my ps3 a static IP address. And for 2), I have no idea how to open up ports. Someone please give me advice how to fix this ridiculous internet connection so I can play online without randomly getting disconnected every god damn day. Thanks.
