ummm what other war right now is modern the war vs terrorism.... if they make another modern game u can bet ur gonna be killing terrorists. it not like there is a war vs russia and that war with russia and georgia was too small to make a game out of itZigsZags

Just because it's modern doesn't necessarily mean it has to be an actual current war. Always a chance it could be hypothetical.

Not saying your wrong with your terrorist claim, but ya never know..

Uncharted Drakes Fortune is one of the best games for the PS3 and was worth buying long before the sequel was announced.avataraang1

I also plan on picking this up next year. I skipped this years release due to my hatred of WWII shooters.

Although Treyarch did do a much better job than what I expected from what I hear.

And yes, bigger maps, vehicles, and an updated engine are a must in order to build on COD4's success.

Hopefully IW delivers these and more.

Glad I read your thread and waited for reviews before picking up my preorder.

I decided to cancel it and pick up Dead Space instead.:D

I knew IW was developing the next COD, but wasn't aware they were developing a sequel to last years Modern Warfare. Although it shouldn't be that a big of a surprise due to the success IW achieved with the modern setting in last year's smash hit.

Thoughts?

As of right now, I'm not counting on anything.

I don't care about what anyone says about the game or any "facts" about it being 25% this and 50% that.

I'm just excited purely for the fact that I will get to meet my good friend Nathan Drake once more.

Like I've said before, it could be a RTS game for all I care, but I'd still love it. Uncharted has one of the most engaging main characters on the PS3.

Scianix-Black

He hit the nail on the head with his first post. I'm sick of reading all the MGS comparisons and stealth component talk. 25% this, 25% that...

I dont give a **** if it's 25% dog crap, if the other 75% is as good as the first Uncharted or better I'll buy it.

Goes to shows how much I enjoyed Drakes Fortune and how pumped I am for the sequel.

Dammit Gob, you've got me second guessing my choice of preordering this game:evil:

Nah, seriously though, you did make some good points that I wasn't aware of..

Guess I'll have to wait for a few more legit reviews of the game before I pick this one up or not, since we all know how Ubisoft likes to drop the ball..

Stealth or no stealth, this game sits atop my radar for 09' greatness.

Uncharted: Drakes Fortune = my favorite game of the current gen.. cannot wait for more information on the sequel!

I hear LBP is a blast when the servers are working .. but can be frustrating when they don't .. but that's just what I hear, don't quote me on it ..

Resistance 2 you will get countless hours of fun with the online, and the campaign is great ..

But either way it comes down to .. do you want to shoot aliens .. or create levels?

Agreed for the most part. I wouldn't say it comes down to whether you would rather shoot aliens or create levels though. I think a more fair question to ask would be: would you rather play a great FPS or a great platformer. Reason I don't agree with the "create levels" part is because I have yet to even attempt creating a level in LBP and still find it an awesome game. It is a big chunk of the game for most gamers, however is not required to enjoy the game.

I agree .. but I feel without the creating of the levels, you wouldn't get nearly as much play time out of LBP as you would out of Resistance 2 ..

Thats definitely true. R2 has far more replayability for me than LBP does (simply because I don't want to create any levels).

To the TC: win-win situation, they are both excellent games and I'm glad I own them both.
